If you are new to flying you should get one that has avoidance. The camera is very good with this drone. If you do decide on this model spend the $12 or so on the propeller protectors from B&H photo. Safe flying!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it just depends on how aggressive you are. As long as you keep things in perspective I don't think the obstacle avoidance is needed. Why? Because you always want to evaluate you flight zone before flying then keep the drone in your view at all times. If you are flying your drone around corners or racing drone on a recreational level then the avoidance is needed. I don't attend to fly my drone anywhere close to an object anyway. if I do then I don't deserve to have a drone in the first place. Fly Safe......
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm pretty much a newbie as well & I would highly recommend the Typhoon H. What you buy should depend on your needs though. A hex with a gimbal does more than a quad without. For me, flying the Typhoon H has been very easy & it's not necessary to use "safe mode". Not to mention, they say to get away from it as soon as possible anyways. If you do get in a pinch you can always hit the switch. It raises to an altitude you specify (just make it higher than the trees or objects around you if you're worried about it) & then it flies straight to the ST-16 controller. It does have forward sensors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Obstacle avoidance might cripple your skill to pilot , not a big trade off but wind plays a very important role. While the spark handles the wind like a champ
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No Problem at all it is very easy to fly !
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Being realtively new at owning and using a drone, I was worried about crashing into things and controlling the device. I've crashed twice while operating the device unintentionally, while learning how to operate the controller. The device is super durable I found after the two crashes. Other than that, the device has avoided crashing into things upon its auto-return to the start point. I can't answer it it would avoid overhead wires or power lines on its own. I personally love the device, its functionality and its ease of operation. Excellent for beginners or novice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No major issues.
