The US office is based out of San Jose, California and any contact you may have with customer service will be American decent with great communication. If it was made in the US it would cost too much.
A:AnswerIf you are new to flying you should get one that has avoidance. The camera is very good with this drone. If you do decide on this model spend the $12 or so on the propeller protectors from B&H photo. Safe flying!!!
