The screen protector has a thick film that peels off with holes that align with another plastic mold where the switch goes. Its easy to install.

Yes, it comes with a plastic guide that helps align the protector to the screen. The protector has a couple of holes on the edge of the protective film that attaches to the edge of the guide. That aligns the protector with the Switch. You press down in the middle and start pressing the protector out from the middle to the edge to squeeze out any bubbles.
Just make sure you are in as clean and dust-free of an environment as possible. Little dust particles can get trapped and they will show up as small little "bubbles" under the protector.

It doesn’t come with anything to love it up unless you get the glass screen protector. But it’s also not hard to put on at all. The back sticky part is two stickers a top and bottom so you can peal off one at a time and get it lined up nice.

Yes it did. It had a holder for the actual unit without the joy con’s being connected and that holder also had like connectors to the screen protector that will align it perfectly for you to just press it and the screen protector will stick to the screen.
