From my understanding, a Best Buy rep told me that it would be possible to use the glass protector, but that it would no longer be guaranteed to be water tight.

It will work but i wouldn't try to drop it in water as I'm not sure if it would seal it. The screen protector does have beveled edges but I would highly doubt that it will be water tight.
