No, I have had mine replaced three times and each time it’s free replacement after the one time fee.

Yes if you have the geek squad place it for you they do charge eight dollars unless you already have a plan in place with the geek squad.

My 15 year old can do this himself…..he watched the tech place it the 1st time when he was 13 and has been doing it himself ever since….
