Does the drawing pen work just as well? null

Yes! With the Zagg glass invisishield installed on my iPad Pro I can't even tell its there when I use my Apple Pen! Both work seamlessly together.

The Apple Pencil does work with the screen protector. It's smooth and glides like butter and theirs no noise like other screen protectors would make.

I have both the glass screen protector and the Apple Pencil and have noticed no difference whatsoever in using the Pencil.

I use the Apple pencil along with this screen protector and it definitely works perfectly. As of now I have not noticed any difference there is no lag when I use them together. It also helps the pencil glide better over the surface. The hand/ finger cancellation works just as well also, so it is OK to rest your hand and use the Apple pencil at the same time. For sure a great pairing.

I don't know for sure about drawing pens but my writing foam tip pens work.
