“Does this protect the screen from breaking from drops like the glass ones? Had a glass protector before and worked great to protect against breakage from drops. But from description seems this is just a protector for the screen from scratches, etc.”

It is softer and flexible as compared to glass and does not appear to have the sufficient strength to absorb the impact. Good luck.

This time around I bought Invisible HD Clear because it was recommended as the best fit for my Note 8 because of the curve edge. I have dropped my phones with the invisible shield HD clear and never had damage.
