It covers the lit portion of the screen only.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. And yes, it's tempered glass. It's 'full' privacy but realize it doesn't provide privacy filtering from someone looking at the phone upside down; that is, someone standing above or in front of you or even behind you. It is highly effective from the sides as long as the display's brightness is lower than the room's ambient lighting. I play with My phone's back lighting to increase or decrease the level of filtering I'm looking to have. Even if the display's brightness is pretty high, the privacy filter will make most text have a blurry mosaic appearance--- but images are still recognizable. The screen appears black when ambient light is high, and the back light is lower; Images and text aren't visible from the sides, but more visible if someone is over you are viewing the phone from upside down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes edge to edge, but it is still case friendly --- so the edge stops closer to where the screen's glass begins to bevel; It's case friendly so it won't get in the way of any case that has a bit of lip around the front.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It covers the display area of the phone and allows for a case to be installed without the two conflicting with each other.
