The Apple folio is REALLY nice as it does not need to be charged separately. It charges automatically when the IPad is charging. The Apple folio is magnetized to hold the IPad, so that when closed, it is thinner and it is easy to remove the Ipad when one doesn’t want the keyboard attached. It had two magnetized grooves to set up the IPad when using (one straighter up and one leaning back). The ZAGG keyboard is a GREAT alternative. The keyboard is comparable. Some of the differences are: You must plug the keyboard in separately to charge. The case has a manual type hook/catch to display the IPad in the open position. It does only have one position. When closed, the thickness (height) is 7/8th of an inch (vs 9/16th of an inch with the Apple Folio). This thickness with the ZAGG allows for a pencil holder that is protected. My version of the Apple Folio doesn’t hold a pencil. I’m sure Apple has a version that does though. I use an Apple Folio and my husband uses the ZAGG Folio. We would recommend both. Since the Apple Folio is more expensive, it just depends on you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A great stand.. I mean the price is the MAIN reason. It literally does everything that Apple case does for HALF the cost.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure on the Apple product but I purchased this one because of the price. It holds the iPad with no issues and the keyboard works great.
