“The bottom of vent hood would be 27" above range top. Is that adequate? I read that in general, hood should be 24"-36" above range. For this particular hood, specs say 30". I'm hoping 27" adequate. We plan to remove the microwave and get new range.”

Hello! Thank you for reaching out. To ensure that all components of the range hood including the button panel, circuit board, and lights are protected from heat or flame damage, we recommend 30-36 inches above the cooking surface!
