• A:Answer Hello Maddie! Thank you for reaching out! The 10" product height listed is the measurement from the bottom of the range hood to where the chimney is attached. The chimney dimensions for model KL2-30 are 9.2 in. W x 8 in. D x 16 H. ZLINE Range Hoods are designed to fit the majority of kitchens right out of the box and include two 16-inch telescoping chimney pieces which allow for mounting for most 8-9 ft ceilings. Some kitchens with shorter or higher ceilings may need a shortening kit or an extension kit (sold separately), so the total height from bottom to top will depend on your actual ceiling height. • A:Answer Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. This hood can be vented out the back wall. We recommend going up at least 15 inches with the duct work before making an elbow to vent out the back wall. Thank you.
