“Does the grate come off for cleaning and is it one giant grate or in sections?”

The grate is in three sections, the two outside ones are interchangeable and identical. The center grate fits only in the center. Easier to clean using a wire brush than with scouring pads (the ones like used for Bar-B-Q grills)
