QuestionIs there any way to setup and use this camera if I >> DO NOT << have a smart phone? I want to use it with either a PC or Windows / Android tablets. The Zmodo app says it is not compatible with my Android tablet.

QuestionDoes it have to be plugged in at all times?

- Answer Yes, it must be plugged into ac outlet. There is no battery backup. The camera is inoperable without power.

QuestionWhy does your app require so much access to my phone files etc, concern for spyware, do you have app with limited access that can work and configure camera? Will this camera work with other generic camera apps.

- Answer We do not have a limited access app. The app requires access to your media files to save any snapshots that you take, the mic so you can use the 2-way talk, etc. It is designed to only work with our Zmodo mobile and web apps.

QuestionMy husband's out of town will this work with him being out of town and the cameras being in the home? He will still have access to seeing everything as long as he has the app right?

- Answer Yes the cameras work using wifi 2.4hz or using the mobile data. I bought 2 to keep an eye on the house and on my dog and they work great.

- Answer I have one on my bookcase watching my front door and living room. If someone comes in it’s range,which you set, it records short clip for you to see when access the app. Very easy setup. I have 3. Would recommend.

- Answer The IR lights are automatic and will turn on when the sensor detects dim lighting. The IR lights may glow when they are on.
