Q: Can tilt and pan be changed with the app?
A: Yes it can.
Q: Does this camera take a SIM card. Not an SD card, SIM? I'm looking for one that will take a SIM card
A: This camera does not take a SIM card.
A: Yes you can, as long as you were recording and had storage space available. You can view history via the zmodo app.
Q: Does it record or is it just on real time
A: This camera does have a slot for a micro SD card (not included) that you can record to if you like. You can also access the live feed via our free smartphone app "Zmodo" anytime on your phone.
Q: How does this differ from the Zmodo Pivot?
A: 1.Pivot is 1080p while PT is 720p. 2. Pivot has build-in 16 GB storage while PT needs additional MicroSD card. 3. Pivot provides readings of temperature and humidity. 4. Pivot can pan only while PT can do both pan and tilt. 5. Pivot has a build-in bluetooth speaker. 6. Pivot can be connected to the included door/windor sensors and it can be configured to rotate to an opened door or a window when the sensor has been triggered.
A: I don't think this camera is best bet for baby monitor. The sound function is pretty minimal
A: The camera will identify any movement in its field of view and send an alert to your phone. If you are pointing the camera through a window at night, the IR lights may cause a reflection and affect the camera's video. You may have to work with the angle of the camera to see if you can prevent the reflection in the video feed.
