In this thriller, Jen (Matilda Lutz) is not impressed when her boyfriend's friends show up early to her vacation for a guys' hunting trip. Tension results in Jen being violated, assaulted and left for dead. Surviving being pushed off a cliff, she decides to get revenge on the three men. Also starring Kevin Janssens, Vincent Colombe, and Guillaume Bouchède. Directed by Coralie Fargeat.~Kyle Lavigne
The female revenge trope is well worn but Revenge puts a little spin on content that is familiar to those who have seen films like I Spit on Your Grave and Thriller: A Cruel picture that brings such plot threads into modern day. Revenge is violent, psychedelic and stunning to look at with a rich color pallet and slick photography. Performances are solid too. The only thing letting this release down is the fact that the blu ray is bare bones--there isn't a single special feature to be found. Regardless, Revenge is a treat for genre fans.
The production values on Revenge are high. The film is very well made. Coralie Fargeat has a natural filmmaking eye. I wonder what she could do with a big studio budget? Definitely, she’s a director to keep an eye on.
This movie really ,surprised me , because there has been many times , I would see a trailer and hope the movie delivers and this one does .
I would recommend this to a friend

A new take on the classic revenge flick
This movie is absolutely beautiful in it's overall look. Unfortunately the plot holes are far to big to ignore. From impossible survival to defying the laws of physics and so-on. Still entertaining if only for the scenery, but turn your brain off before entering or sit there thinking "there's no way that happen" like I did on first viewing.
