The speakers have horrible sound, and the subwoofer range is low. This might be good for a cheap computer system but I'm running a iMac and the internal speaker have better quality of sound.

      Hello Worththemoney,
I am sorry that the Z623 PC speaker did not meet your expectations. The Z623 has a THX®-certified sound that features 400 Watts Peak/200 Watts RMS power; normally, this speaker set specs meet their user's expectations, but Logitech understands that every user has unique needs. They claim 400 watts of peak power, but distorts badly when pushed passed half volume. Other than that it was ok. I returned it.

I ended up returning within the 14 day return period. Mine developed a buzz and for what I paid for it, it was not acceptable. Logitech used to be the gold standard but I've told that is no longer the case (by IT friends of mine).

I was very disappointed with these speakers. I can't believe they have the THX logo on them. No way. These are average at best. They are not even half as good as my Bose companion computer speakers and they are about 10 years old.

Wow, I purchased these logitech speakers for a new computer. The left speaker has already stopped working. I didn't even get 30 days use out of them. Of course the 2 week return window has passed. Good thing I purchased the Geek Squad warranty. Time to box this thing up.

This is my second set of speakers. I initially had the 623 model and the speakers shorted out 3 days after purchase. So I decided to get the 625 model and I am highly disappointed. The speakers are cracking and has a terrible sound. I only purchased these because of the reviews.

Sounds just okay, It is advertised as 200watt RMS. I simply don't believe that. The power supply says 120Volts and 900ma. I don't see how that can deliver 200watts RMS output. Also the base sounds rumbly.

Sounds ok, not loud enough and not heavy enough bass for my tastes. It came out of box with wiring issues, loose connectors that cannot be tightened, just walking around clips the audio, had to warranty RMA it straight out of the store, who had no replacement units. This reduced the effective warranty to 90 days on another garbage logitech product. You'd think after all these years and problems I would have learned not to buy their stuff...

The speakers were good for a couple of days. Subwoofer had blown the first day I decided to put volume all the way up. Wasn’t even able to return them since I had left for vacation after it blew(they were a gift to my teen brother) not recommended. Will not buy from best buy or this product since I feel like I got scammed, amazon will never pull this crap on their own customers. Anyways these are my two cents.

LOGITECH hit a HR w/this set of speakers.I did not give it 5 stars for lack of two more satelitte speakers. The set is the clearest n loudest set of computer speakers I've found.Mine are over three years old now and the crackling noise that will develop is due to dust building up on the volume control and is easily mitigated by spraying electical contact cleaner on the volume control base.Keeping the bass on 6.7 has kept the satelittes from blowing up. I've actually replaced my stereo system as these are loud enough for any 1 bdrm apartment and can hook-up to a tv (keeping the TV speakers on low to avoid blowing them up) for watching movies, video's etc. and its just as good as sound in a theatre. It would be doubly great if they added 2 more staelittes and kept the same wattage in the satelittes (100 per pair). For the $100 I paid in Dec.2012, the price is great.

I usually do not write review's But felt compelled to do this as me and my wife sit listen to music . she has her back to me on her own computer and she usually does not like me to have my computer blasting music but as soon as I turned these speakers on she asked me to turn them up a little and has been Humming along . such is the sound quality of these speakers. went from creative T40 speakers to these due to lack of bass . Played Crysis 2 last night and the difference is night and day . bass is tight and mids and highs are crisp and clear . you just cannot go wrong with these ..

    Solid 2.1 + Great Sound

After moving my Logitech Z3's to my office, I was without a pair of speakers for my Mac at home. I was using the speakers for monitoring music production (in the rare event I didn't use headphones), playing my Line6 guitar through, and casual music listening. I finally decided to get a second set of speakers for home and after listening to other speakers in store (Kilps), I was less than impressed. Speakers in the same price bracket were lacking clarity and dynamics. Seeing these on shelf (but not displayed for testing), I looked them up on my phone to read a few reviews and knowing my satisfaction with the Z3's for about the same price, I was willing to jump before hearing them; glad I did. Though I'm not so pleased with the speaker shapes (kinda ugly), I was blown away with the sound. Dynamic range, high clarity, and the adjustability of the sub level really make this package an amazing bang for the buck. Though not audiophile level (IMHO) these speakers can do varying genres of music a lot of justice. As a musician with eclectic taste I definitely ran the gamut on this set: metal (djent/metalcore/Gothenburg/etc), electronic (4 to the floor, trance, dubstep, chill), jazz (standard and smooth), and pop rock/r&b/country. The sub can be pretty overpowering depending on the genre, but the bass level control really lets you dial in a good mix. These things are also super loud - I haven't worked them to over 40% volume at 30% bass. One day I'll rattle my upstairs neighbors >:-) In short: if this is what you consider to be a reasonable price range then definitely give them a listen (or pull the trigger like I did). You'll get good quality speakers that can give you some massive knock and some great projection through a room.

Right speaker stopped working soon after setup

Sadly, the right speaker stopped functioning shortly after I connected this system to my PC. This speaker has the volume controls and power switch. Those controls still work, but no sound from that speaker. I've tried using each of the three different methods of input, and connecting different devices. Same result. Pretty disappointed.

Sorry about the experience! Make sure that the unit has power. If the speaker system doesn't appear to have power, try plugging it into another AC outlet and make sure that all of the connectors are seated securely, and that the cables are in good condition. Try using a different cable to eliminate the current cable as the issue.
