It took me many years to switch from the landline to VoP. I don't know why I waited so long. The rising Qwest landline phone bill was the catalyst particularly since I rarely used a landline. I seemed to only be paying to receive annoying calls from telemarketers, robocalls, etc. The Ooma is slightly complicated to set up but a dream once it is connected. I am able to block all of those annoying calls now. This is especially advantageous in anticipation of this election year. I did read every review everywhere regarding the "best" VoP service. Ooma seems to be the most reasonable in monthly cost (I pay only the fed/state/municipal) taxes. I am able to use all of my Panasonic telephone units with this system.

purchased this to get out of a Comcast triple play. The set up was easy, picked a random number. Porting my existing number from Comcast was a pain in the bottom. ooma had contacted me via email to let me know the port was complete so then I went to change packages through Comcast to just tv and Internet and the Comcast Agent lied to me and said the port was not complete and if I cancelled my triple play with Comcast, they would take back the number and then we would lose the number for good. I thoroughly enjoy the product. I was referred to it by a friend and was skeptical at first. I decided to try it and it's the best decision ever! I save a lot of money monthly and I enjoy excellent service at the same time. I am a living testament that it is NOT too good to be true. You will never regret your purchase. You will be so haptic you will recruit all your family and friends to invest in one.

We've used OOMA for VOIP phone service for several years and have been very satisfied with reliability and quality of voice when using. Our original unit failed after several years of use, so we replaced it with a new unit and OOMA switched our # over to the new unit within a few minutes of contacting them.

I wanted to keep a home phone (too old school about it I guess) but wanted to do it more cheaply.. the Ooma box was easy to set up and configure. They do charge you $40 if you want to port your existing number (which I did). It took 2 business days to complete to port from Comcast... in the meantime they will give you a free new phone number.. I keep my ion box down in the basement near my router and I can use all the existing phone wiring in my house! And I save from paying Comcast $10 a month

AT&T raised the cost of my landlien so I fired them. This OOMA box plugs into my router. Unplugged RJ11 from Grey box on the side of my house, plugged RJ11 from OOMA box to a phone jack in my house. Now all my phones go through the OOMA box. Works fine.

I bought the ooma telo for my home phone line to cut costs from my cable company. The setup was simple and porting my number took 4 days to complete. The call quality is excellent and the cost is around $5 per month. WHAT A GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!

I bought Ooma to replace my Cable company's VOIP phone, as their bundle (Phone, Internet & TV) was just too much to pay. The price was very reasonable for the device, and set up was easy. It took about a week and a few days to "Port" over my existing phone number, and Ooma gives you a temporary number you can use/share with friends and family in the interm. I selected the Ooma Premier plan (about $120 a year), over the basic plan where you just pay taxes for your areas phone use (in my case a little over $6, which i need to pay regardless of what plan I selected). I needed to keep internet service with my cable provider, but my monthly cost were vastly reduced with call quality being the same as their VOIP phone system. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Great product. So far I have only used the system as a home office setting and it works great! Great voice quality, excellent features and the only thing I have had to pay is the tax fees. It has a down side is that you should have a high speed connection and reliable connection in order for the system to work without trouble or noise. So far it has worked great. Also be careful with the "free" premium settings. Make sure you read the instructions so you know how to cancel these features if you are not going to need them.

Bought the Ooma Telo as a replacement for a landline phone for a new home business because I wasn't quite ready to jump in to the (considerably more expensive) Ooma Office system without testing this first. Original investment is a little pricey but I have to say this delivers on all its promises. Easy setup, TONS of features, and friendly customer service if you ever need help. Instant 2nd line that automatically forwards to your cell phone is handy too, although this is part of the 9.99/month Premier package - but still much cheaper than traditional phone service. Overall very impressed and would recommend!

Love this product! Easy to setup. Voice quality is great. I have just decimated my monthly phone bill. This product pays for itself in a very short period of time. The built in voice mail feature and ability to access voicemails from their smart phone app is great. It even lets you know if someone calls your home phone if you so desire. The blacklist features make it easy to block most telemarketers, too. A big improvement over Xfinity voice services.

I owned an OOMA Telo for over 10 years but it finally quit working so I purchased a new one from Best Buy. The unit itself is compact and unobtrusive. It works very well and was easy to install. My gripes were in the registration and transferring of my old number. When registering OOMA requires you to choose a new phone number, which they say, is just temporary until you can successfully transfer your old phone number to the New OOMA. I followed OOMA's instruction to transfer my old number; however, I kept getting error messages that my old number was already an OOMA number. After back and forth emails a couple times the service rep told me I would need to call a certain number in order to transfer my old number to my new OOMA unit. The first two service reps I dealt with were very polite, but had no clue how to transfer an existing OOMA number to a new OOMA unit. When I called, that service rep was very knowledgeable and transferred my old number in about 5 min. So, if you buy a new OOMA and want to keep your old OOMA number, DO NOT REGISTER IT! Call TELO customer support at 888-711-6662 and ask them to transfer your old OOMA number to your new OOMA unit.

The Oooma Telo VoIP phone service was easy to set up and use. Good sound quality, easy to use voice mail service, and straight forward website that makes it easy to set up your account and revise settings. I am paying $3.84 each month for unlimited phone service in the U.S. I have not made any international calls yet, but the cost per minute are discounted prices.

My previous telephone service for the past 5+ years was with Vonage. Although I had no complaints with their service, I was looking for a more cost effective solution. After careful consideration, I chose Ooma and purchased the Ooma Telo device. Voice quality has been fantastic, their calling features surpass those of Vonage and setup/activation was extremely easy. I should have switched a long time ago!

Easy to set up, quality of the calls are crisp and clear. I received a perk from Best Buy when I purchased this device which was $50 worth of international calling card. I would buy this device from Best Buy which offers competitive pricing. Good bye to traditional expensive landline connections and hello to voice over internet providers like Ooma which only charges taxes to its customer on the basic plan. This is a wonderful cost saving connection.

Just got it, but it works fine. Setup was relatively simple and call quality sounds good. Nice option for less than $6 a month after the initial purchase

Landlines are being phased out in 2027 and currently only working half the time in my area. Got tired of calling for repairs due to failing infrastructure. This solves the connectivity issues, but not as reliable as hardline, however the workaround is to get starlink and a battery or generator backup power. Quality of sound is good and having my old number ported over was a cost i could accept with the cheaper service. Premium is optional and not necessary, but nice and cheaper than landline services.

Easy to setup. Easy to use. Powerful and versatile use cases and features. Can also have forwarding to mobile number. Helps save money and call quality is great. I will never go back to AT&T.

Okay - I was very, very skeptical that this would work. What I got, though, was a new phone system for my house for $5 per month that I was able to set up in 8 minutes. Eight minutes! It really did all the work for me after a brief set-up on their website to start the process. So easy, so fast, and works perfectly.

Was paying $18/mo with Vonage, now paying ~$4.10/mo with Ooma. Sound quality is great (identical to Vonage), crystal clear calls, set-up was very simple and straight forward, Ooma customer service was great to work with. Only negative is that Ooma charged $40 to port-over our old phone number. But my wife insisted that we keep our old phone number. Phone number port-over only took ~10 days. Totally recommend Ooma!
