If your are hoping to extend the hour per use by charging while computer is in use (not really recommended) this is not the charger for you. Depending on the activity you are trying to preform the computer can deplete the battery faster then the charger can charge it.

We were apprehensive at first thinking we would have to pay a lot of money to get a replacement charger. We are very happy that Best Buy had this one at a great price.

Fortunately I found my original power cord I thought I lost and returned this one, but that's only cause I was pinching pennies at the time.

I now do not have to take my home power cord with me when I travel. I like the power cord because of its long length and ease to connect with my Surface.
