I’ve been an Astro fan for years, and let me be honest here, the headphones are good, the quality feels good and is until something breaks. The top headrest will fall out and you can’t put it back in unless you buy a bracket to hold it in place which I have done ($7 amazon purchase) The sound quality is good imo, I play a lot of fps games where hearing footsteps and other sounds is very important and you can make different profiles and switch very easily if you have a different sound profile for different games. These are definitely gamer approved.

I had a pair of turtle beaches before these. Not only is the Bluetooth range better on the A50s, it’s also much clearer and crisper sound. There has been at least 5 times I have forgot that I had headphones on and though my surround sound system was up way to high for as late as I was playing... the battery is also awesome because it’s got an auto off function when you lay them sideways. They shut off in about 20 seconds. This is super awesome but probably the only single downside as well. because you can’t really lay down and watch a movie with them on without the headphones shutting off.... but I just prop my potatoe sack looking meatbag up with some pillows and I’m good to go! Super cool charging base makes you feel upgraded. Like your mom can be proud of how far you’ve upgraded yourself because of this headset. Like your ex gf might call you and tell you she wants you back... well maybe not that fancy, but you get the picture.

Astro has always been a great headset. The A50 has a great sound, comfortable removable magnetic Ear pads, EQ on demand, DOLBY sound and MIX AMP built into the headset so you can pick between Chat and game volumes.

Really enjoy these headsets. They're very comfortable. They automatically connect when picking them up off of the charging dock. Only downfall is I had to put a piece of tape on the top to keep the cushion ther Cause I got a big head

Best headset I’ve ever played with, excellent quality of footsteps, you can hear pretty much everything. Even the small detail noises. Fits perfectly, and definitely a full recommend on these.

I have been using Astro products now since 2015 and I have always loved the design of the headset. I have had the Astro A50's for a while now and I still do not plan on changing them. I bought it when I was mainly using the Xbox One X and I also would use them on my MacBook Pro to edit videos with. Today, I use them with my Series X, MacBook Pro, and now my gaming PC and it works flawlessly on all platforms. I see people talking about how it is difficult to charge sometimes, just push the head strap all the way down when it is on its stand and wiggle front or back till you see your power button turn orange and boom, it is charging. The other thing I see people get upset about is sometimes that I can act wonky at times. Update it and it will fix everything. I don't think I will ever change brands, I have been a big fan of Astro since the old Halo 2 days and I will keep using them.

Sound wise these I would say are equivalent to my Steel series 9x with Dolby atmos enabled. You can easily hear footsteps and which direction they are coming from. The bass isn’t that loud so if you want thundering bass these aren’t for you. The highs are great. The base station and headphones were easy to connect but had some issues with them powering on unless I unplugged the usb from the console and plugged it back it. Chat was clear little to no noise cancellation. If your like me and have a bigger size head these will hurt after a while they are heavy and the clamping force seems like a lot. I ended up selling these for the Arctis 9x which have connection issues as well lol. Pros Sound quality Build quality Atmos included Chat/ microphone Cons Comfort Connection issues Base station Heavy For $300+ they don’t sound as good as cheaper sets.

I was able to get the Astro A50X wireless gaming headphones at a massive discount of something like 50% off (I think I paid $149.99 for them brand-new) and, while I’d argue they’re already worth the money at MSRP, there’s no other headphones even close to these at that kind of discounted price. I’d buy them again at full-price if I had to.

Love the sound in these things, they are truly AMAZING. Few grips... 1. Likely user error but I cannot for the life of me figure out (internet search/playing around myself) how to balance the in-game volume for voice and game so I can properly hear others talking while also hearing the game. 2. The top cushion on the frame of the headset constantly pops out of the frame at the slightest touch or while putting these on...Terrible design on that. Light research shows many users having this issue and either tape or purchase something to hold this piece on the frame. Otherwise, 100% recommend these to others...once I figure out my volume settings...

I still use them everyday perfect for ps4. I use them now for ps5. it lost a bit of surround sounds but after firmware update they’re usable if you want full experience, need hdmi adapter sold separately

Great headset for FPS gaming can hear footsteps and sound queues perfectly, pretty simple setup and battery last about a full days worth of gaming when fully charged!

I bought the Astros awhile ago, and they have never disappointed. They have updates and they fit my head perfectly. The sound is amazing, and I use them for both PC/Xbox. I have had many headsets in the past but these are here to stay.

Sound quality is great, and you can customize it as well (on PC). I use it on my PC & Xbox One X, having a wireless headset is awesome. I'm the kind of person who gets annoyed with wires swinging around, now my problem is no more. *If you get the XBOX One X version of the headset you get a free 2 year subscription for Dolby Access, you do not get it for the PS4 version

They are amazing!! The sound is very crisp and clear. Very easy to use and simple to operate. The cushion on the ear muffs is super comfortable and makes wearing them for a couple of hours easy.

Hands down the best headset that I have owned. Sound quality and battery life is excellent they do have a design flaw with the headband popping off of bigger heads but it’s a 8 dollar fix online

Superior sound at the wireless distance we all want and need. Can get up and walk around my house (1800sqft) and still talk to my buddies and hear whats going on. Flip up mute is amazing and convenient and the comfort is .... NICE! Magnet ear cups so IF you wanted to change them out you can super easily. Sometimes the sound disconnects from my PC and i have to flip the switch (pc-ps) and itll come back. Dont know why but that fixes it when it happens. Otherwise its great! Mic is clear and my friends say it sounds natural.

The sound quality is excellent and very light on my head even when wearing glasses. The design of the charger is very good and I have no issue with it not charging.

Bought this bad boy a while ago for myself. As a heavy fps player let me tell you with their software being easy to setup and plug and play it is definitely worth it. My everyday to go headset for streaming and gaming. Sounds are crisp. Especially when you set everything up correctly you will never miss a footstep sound ever again and the noise canceling is amazing!
