Customers love the CREAMi, Ice Cream Maker for its ease of use and the quality of the ice cream it produces, with many appreciating its overall performance and the resulting texture. Some find the noise level to be quite high and the 24-hour freezing time inconvenient. Despite these drawbacks, the CREAMi is praised for its speed, included recipe book, and design.

These machines are great for making an incredibly close approximation of ice cream. But they are not reliable at all. If you don't mind blowing $200 plus dollars on a machine that may last a year or two then go for it. Otherwise, I'd avoid this product until they have some kind of major redesign.
The biggest issue with the machine's design in the shaft in which the blade attaches. The tip of the shaft is magnetized and holds the blade in place as it shaves and whips up the frozen concoction in your pint. However, should you accidentally have something frozen too hard, not perfectly level, or have certain frozen fruits in the wrong random position, there's a high likelihood that the blade will struggle and overheat. The excess heat from the blade WILL DE-MAGNETIZE the shaft. The shaft is directly attached to the motor and is not user serviceable. So should this happen to you, the machine is now a large heavy brick...completely useless. Shark will honor warranties with a replacement unit within the 1 year time frame. That's great. But because the product's design is questionable, even the replacement unit has a high risk of failure. You'll eventually be past the 1 year warranty time frame and then be SOL.
This is all from personal experience and I just hope to help anyone out there avoid wasting their hard earned cash on a product that will most likely fail on them.

Not as simple to make the ice cream as they make it appear on TV. I would say overall it is a good device. I personally probably would not ever buy it again.
