These machines are great for making an incredibly close approximation of ice cream. But they are not reliable at all. If you don't mind blowing $200 plus dollars on a machine that may last a year or two then go for it. Otherwise, I'd avoid this product until they have some kind of major redesign. The biggest issue with the machine's design in the shaft in which the blade attaches. The tip of the shaft is magnetized and holds the blade in place as it shaves and whips up the frozen concoction in your pint. However, should you accidentally have something frozen too hard, not perfectly level, or have certain frozen fruits in the wrong random position, there's a high likelihood that the blade will struggle and overheat. The excess heat from the blade WILL DE-MAGNETIZE the shaft. The shaft is directly attached to the motor and is not user serviceable. So should this happen to you, the machine is now a large heavy brick...completely useless. Shark will honor warranties with a replacement unit within the 1 year time frame. That's great. But because the product's design is questionable, even the replacement unit has a high risk of failure. You'll eventually be past the 1 year warranty time frame and then be SOL. This is all from personal experience and I just hope to help anyone out there avoid wasting their hard earned cash on a product that will most likely fail on them.

My fiancé loves his. I got it for him for our anniversary and he really enjoyed making his sorbet. I think it was a great purchase.

Wonderful product. The Nina Creami really does smoothly blend frozen concoctions of your choice. if you love frozen concoctions of any kind, get this machine.

Great way to make ice cream! The book is very helpful for recepies or you can make your own.

It is great and i like the fact i can make any ice cream i want and any combination. But i feel like the recipe makes less then it says in the book. But it still a great kitchen appliance

Not as simple to make the ice cream as they make it appear on TV. I would say overall it is a good device. I personally probably would not ever buy it again.

This machine is well worth the cost. Only flaw is NiNJA should have made if easier to clean the lid.
