Don’t buy Samsung, invest elsewhere

After our 2021 model Samsung fridge’s ice maker was deemed unrepairable through a multitude of repair visits over the span of two years, we utilized the extended warranty we purchased on the old refrigerator to opt for this model as replacement. I was very limited on refrigerator options due to the black stainless color our current appliance suite is outfitted with, so this was the only viable option for size, color comparison that included an external ice and water dispenser on the outside door. The replacement refrigerator arrived without damage and was installed without issue, however the new unit’s ice/water dispenser did not work out of the box. I was very disappointed to receive a brand new refrigerator that had the same issue as the old one, on top of that, also having to shell out $800 additional dollars to cover the cost offset for warranty replacement for this new unit with no real implied fix to the original problem.
Best Buy were great in getting a second replacement unit on the way and so far have not had any issues with the second new replacement refrigerator, but we lost the remaining extended warranty we purchased on the original fridge due to the exchange. It would have been nice to apply a prorated remaining balance of the extended warranty either to the additional cost to purchase this replacement refrigerator, or applied whatever term was left on the original purchased warranty to this new fridge.
The aggravation with Samsung products are not worth your time or money, stay away from them. Time will tell if this unit was worth the hassle.
Geek Squad was great though throughout the process and no fault of theirs. I will not purchase another Samsung appliance product
