Great Performance, Smooth 2-in-1 Experience I’ve been using the HP Envy 2-in-1 14” with the Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD for a while, and it has honestly been one of the best laptops I’ve owned. The performance is super smooth — multitasking, programming, browsing, and even light editing all run without any lag. The Ryzen 7 handles everything effortlessly. The 2K touchscreen is crisp and bright, and switching between laptop and tablet mode is seamless. It feels premium, especially for the price point. The keyboard and trackpad are comfortable, and the overall build quality feels sturdy but lightweight enough to carry around every day. Battery life was also impressive for my usage — I could easily get through classes and daily work without needing to constantly look for a charger. It’s disappointing that this model is no longer available because it delivered great specs and value for the money. If it ever comes back in stock, it’s definitely worth picking up.

I recently bought the HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14-fa0013dx from Best Buy online. This computer is perfect for me. The little 14 incher is a lightning fast power house with the Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. Boot times are practically instant. I saved $100 by purchasing it "Open Box - Excellent Condition", and there wasn't so much as a fingerprint on the thing. I am 100% satisfied with this transaction as well as the product so far. The Radeon graphics card is on the lighter end, so I'm curious to test it's limits with video editing and gaming, but it should be just fine for audio production. HP doesn't offer much info on stylus compatibilities if you're looking to use a pen. This computer uses MPP (Microsoft Pen Protocol). I bought a Wacom Bamboo Ink Plus stylus to use for illustrating, and although it does work well. so far it seems that this computer is not compatible with the pen's pressure sensors or tilt feature, so unless I am doing something wrong, I recommend a less expensive stylus for this model.

The laptop is awesome. I love the size, speed, charging, display and so much more. The screen doesn't get as bright as I would've liked but its still very bright regardless. I also really like the touchscreen and pen compatability, makes it very easy to takes notes or watch my favorites shows.

This is an excellent, high-quality, solidly built laptop. Having a solid day drive means instant access to the files without having to wait for it to boot up. The display is amazing, it is crystal clear and the touchscreen capabilities are second to none the computing power is off the charts, this thing never lags, even with multiple application applications, running at the same time. With a one terabyte hard drive, you will never run out of space! I got this while it was on sale and it’s probably the best computer purchase I’ve made in the past two decades. The battery life is outstanding. I cannot recommend this enough.

Great laptop for work and play! This laptop is multi function so being able to use as a tablet and laptop is a big plus. We got this to replace my wife’s 12 year old iPad which would no longer update to newest iOS. It’s got a great battery life, includes plenty of storage, and enough memory to keep multiple programs running without an issue. The touch screen is very responsive and makes it easy to maneuver around. Since it’s not overly large, it’s also not heavy to keep on your lap or in your arms.

I tried lenovo, acer, and asus with similar specs. I fell in love with the Asus and the oled screen but did not want to spend the money even on sale (low discount). This HP is a Great all around laptop! Performance, 14", ultralight/weight and thin, modern design and look, flexibility, features, build quality, corning glass screen. Concerns/wishlist: hinges durability; screen brightness and color gamut, more than 16GB or at least upgradable; not sure if top and bottom??? are all metal. One major issue that HP has confirmed after escalation: warranty start/expiration is incorrect; it is a known "technical glitch" per hp. Escalate with purchase receipt and get an email with corrected warranty coverage. Overall 5 stars so far with a little less than 14 days of usage. I got on a great sale price mid 600. I highly recommend. It’s a keeper for the sale price!

This is a great computer. Not too big but big enough. Not too heavy and easy to use. Favorite feature is the touchscreen. As I get older, it is harder to use the mouse but now I can just tap the screen. I didn’t buy it with this in mind but it has been super helpful!

Great laptop. These newest Envys have an updated motherboard and better build quality. Two USB-A ports is a huge plus, both are 10Gbps. The 8840HS is an amazing laptop processor, with power efficiency still beating Intel. The 780M integrated graphics is also enough for light gaming (Fortnite, Civ 6, Frostpunk, etc). The keyboard feels great, it's not mushy which gives it a particular noise. The screen is also just okay, glossy, but nothing special. Only downside is that the RAM is soldered, so you're stuck with 16GB. Also, half the available cooling is just plastic, rather than actual heatfins

This is an excellent computer and I would recommend it to anyone with intense computing needs. I needed a machine to do music production, so it needed to have a fast CPU, sufficient RAM, and plenty of SSD to store recordings — you don’t want to have a perfect take only to find glitches in your recording because your processor or RAM was insufficient, or not have enough storage to save your precious work. Furthermore, the price of this machine will not break the bank, especially if Best Buy offers you a deal. I should mention that this machine went on sale the day after I purchased it — I called up Best Buy and they refunded the price difference to my credit card account via their price match program.

I use this device daily and has become one of my favorite computers I've ever owned. It's super light, the keyboard is very smooth and responsive, it's very fast and never glitchy and the battery lasts forever. I don't think there are any negatives you could take from this device. The combination of speed, weight and battery life is really unmatched in this price range, of which I got at a big discount at $650. Super satisfied and congrats to HP and Best Buy on a great product!

Nice laptop with a few compromises. Pros 1) Nice design and keyboard. You can see the letters on the keys. Keys are larger and easier to press. 2) Fast processor 3) Good battery life 4) Convertible hinges enabling use as tablet Cons 1) Screen brightness only 300 nits 2) Windows Hello and Face Unlock worked poorly on my unit.
