I've enjoyed Norah Jones' music in the past, but I never would have described myself as a huge fan. However, when I received this CD as part of a review panel, I was impressed at how true she stays to herself, but how broad her range truly is. She performs different styles effortlessly (and her guest artists do the same). The first time I listened to it, I wasn't sure how much I really cared for it, but I gave it a second chance and I'm glad I did, because now I'm a huge fan! Besides, you can't really go wrong with big artists like Willie Nelson and Ray Charles - captivating!

Easy Listening

I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of this album. In every song Norah is singing with or "over" another artist. The songs range from Foo Fighters to Ray Charles across all genres of music and yet all manage to be brought together under Norah's ultimately mellow style. No one song caught my attention more than the others enough to have me singing along... which leads me to think that this would be ideal as background music at a party or even to listen to before going to sleep or while in the bathtub to relax.

I like Nora Jones vocals I can relate it to a Patsy Cline sound but in this cd she goes beyond her usual. There is something for everyone from classic Baby Its Cold Outside to Blue Bayou she does amazing vocals with an array of other talents in her new cd. I love the Life is Better and The Best Part because they are more hip hop. She can please a wide audience from oldies, country, jazz to pop/rap/ hip hop. Amazing talent I was glad I tried this cd I really enjoy the whole thing.

I recieved a copy of this cd as being a member of the One2One network. I was very happy to listen to this CD. I think she does a excellent job doing duets with various artists ranging from country,hip-hop and more. One song I liked was the song "Creepin In" with Dolly Parton. Their voices blended so well together on this song. Anyone that likes Norah Jones or any of the guest artists on this CD should get this and enjoy it. :)

I got this cd through One2One network, and am thankful for the privilege. This is an effective way to mix genres, some better than others. She shines on collaborations with country, 50's r&b, folk and blues. Where I feel that she falls flat is on rap. Overall I really like the cd and would recommend it to a friend. I was not disappointed, but would have appeciated the cd focusing on one genre, as opposed to several.

I had no idea prior to listening to this album that Norah Jones has sang with so many others and such a range of genres as well. This is great for easy listening, not the type of CD I would listening to while driving in the car, but definitely a quiet, romantic evening at home with my husband. I look forward to sharing this with my husband along with some good chocolate a perfect evening.

This CD is filled with a variety of duets from several different types of music. Ther is rock, country, rap, christmas, and soul. It will appeal to a wide range of people. I was not a huge fan of the rap songs, butother people might enjoy them. I did get this CD through One2One network for my honest review and I honestly enjoyed all of the songs...minus the two rap ones.

Nora stretching here style?

I received a preview sample of this CD through One2One and I was looking forward to hearing Nora stretch her style. I think the songs were less "Featuring Nora" and more Nora featuring various artists. She does stretch her style a little into the Country flavor, but not as much as I was hoping. The songs are good and basic in the beginning of the CD and at the end, but the rap in the middle would have made me stop listening if they were placed in the beginning of the CD list. Her duet with Willie Nelson ("Baby It's Cold Outside") was basic and not very original except for the fact that the thought of these two singers coming together in person and doing a music video for this song alternately throws me into hysterical laughter and screaming to have my mental eye poked out. I'm waiting for her to do a duet with someone edgy and with a range like Pink! "Here We Go Again" with Ray Charles is a classic and has been previously released. It's a keeper, but perhaps just as an .mp3. I'm not sure that it can carry the whole CD by itself.

I received this cd and immediately popped it in my cd player to check it out. I was surprised, pleasantly, by the great tunes. Do I love all the duet partners? No, but I love Norah Jones and was pleased to hear that I enjoyed all the songs. What a great hodge podge of musical tastes. Check this out - you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful Mix of Music

I thought this CD had a wonderful mix of music on it. The range is from a smooth rap type song to classic country. Who would have imagined this kind of ecclectic mix would sound so good together. The tempos of the various songs vary just enough to keep you interested without overwhelming the listener.
I think my favorite song on the album is "Virginia Moon" from the Foo Fighters. I would have never guessed that the iconic rock band could pull out such a sweet and smooth song. I also was surprised to find how much I liked the country songs on the album. "Bull Rider" and "Creepin' In" are both just classic country sounds without the awful twang that sets your ear on edge.
I say "Bravo!" to Ms. Jones on this album.

I always love Norah Jones but I would have liked to hear more of her and less of others. I can appreciate a duet but I don't want it to be the whole albumn. I think this showcased her large range and that is fabulous. Overall I think it is still a good albumn to add to your collection!

I received this CD to review from One2One Network. I have bought most of Nora Jones CD's in the past. I like her sultry voice. While I did like this album, there were too many different music styles combined on it. i prefer Norah when she is singing her jazzy blues.

A Must Have for your collection

I was given this CD to review prior to its release and I feel so honored to own this CD. Recorded from 2001 to 2010, the Cameos, Duets and Collaborations on this compilation span the musical spectrum and show Norah Jones to be one of this decade's most diverse musical connectors. She works with a range of musical acts from the Foo Fighters to Willie Nelson. From Outkast to Herbie Hancock. I was really surprised to see that there was a Ray Charles collaboration. That was a sweet gift since I am a huge fan of his. Your collection would be lacking without this CD. You have to get it.

Quite a mixed genre

This cd has a few songs that I personally like. 'Bull Rider', 'Loretta', and 'Creepin' In' are all great songs if you enjoy older country. I'm a fan of her duets, but when she sings in general on a few of these songs, it's lacking individuality. They all start to mash together and it sounds too familiar. I also really liked that she changed it up and recorded songs with a few hip hop artists. 'Take off your Cool' and 'Life is Better' are both surprisingly good. Her voice sounds more soulful backing the hip hop tracks. There are some songs on here I thought I would like considering I'm a fan of the artist, but they fell short for me.

Not Quite What I Expected

I have always been a big fan of Norah Jones and her hauntingly beautiful voice. While you can tell how her voice matures over the almost ten years that went into recording this album, I have to admit, it was not what I expected. There are songs on there that made me smile, like her duet with Willie Nelson on Baby It's Cold Outside. But for the most part, I was disappointed that the Norah I've come to love was lost in the harmonies of many of the songs. I'm not throwing it away... it will be one of those albums I pull out every now and again when the mood strikes. Thank you One2OneNetwork for letting me preview this album.

I have been a Norah Jones fan from the beginning, but even for someone who's never heard of her music this is a great CD to check out. The collection of artists is so varied that I'm sure anyone can find something to suit their tastes. As always, Norah's voice is beautiful and full of soul. It's almost haunting. I highly recommend this along with any of her other albums.
I received a free copy of this CD from One2One Network in exchange for my honest opinion.

I still prefer Norah'a earlier albums. With that said, this is definitely a keeper. So many songs, such a fun variety of music. Just be sure to sample some of the songs before purchasing.
