Having Geek Squad protection give an added peace of mind. Knowing that should a product fail or gives problems and being able to have it fixed or replaced is the reason that I purchased Geek Squad protection.

haven't had to use this yet i had it on other purchases replaced a laptop with store credit patched a camera clearly can tell replaced part from a mile away but it now works again so okay so far when needed

It lack a zoom on the camera. It is not loud enough to hear what the other person on the other end is saying when you have it on speaker phone, and could be better when it is not on speaker phone.

They changed it from after last time I had it now have to wait 3 days to get new phone which would be ok if there wasn't an infant involved and not having a phone

This is only good once per device So if you crack the screen and they replace it with your warranty you are done. You can only file one claim.

i pay 65 dollars and wasn't there copay when something happen to phone.. when i got it no tell there going be one . so do keep that in mind....

A little disappointed with its slow and sluggish performance. Touch screen not very sensitive so it makes it hard to type.

It would be better if it had more storage space. But the battery life is great and the internet is really fast.

I've had one before...its a easy switch and they even back up ur old phone...awesome geek squad...

Plan protects phone but it is expensive for one year

Disappointed that more than 1year protection plans are no longer being offered!!

... not great since I was repeatedly told by the saleskid in the store that the policy was one payment up front and no deductibles or charges when the need to use the policy arises. I then received an email with a link to the policy details and found there is indeed a cash deductible due upon use of the policy.

This depending on what you might intend to use it for may be a great thing to get, but in the long run your just giving your money to Best Buy. For example, i bout a phone and later returned it, and got a different phone, well the first plan is no longer usable and you still have a year, go figure.

If you are avid user with dropping issues only then

GSP is a good product but is a bit too pricey, and I cannot believe they started charging a deductible for mobile devices. That is outrageous

This item was sold to me as protection in case anything happened to my Samsung phone. I dropped the phone on cement and took it to Best Buy for the exchange - I was told that with a problem I bring my broken phone in and get a new one. What I got was - you have to fill out a form, get it approved and then you will get a refurbished phone, Within 5 days!! That is unacceptable - going to go without the phone for 5 days?? Give me a break!

GSP is great for everything but mobile, they really should not charge for phone replacements with the protection plan

Most of the manufacturers offer 1 year replacement for free, so keep in mind that before you spend $100 on a geek squad protection plan, the day that I make a claim, my experience was terrible with the geek quad team. I USED TO PURCHASE ALL MY ELECTRONICS HERE AT BEST BUY BECAUSE OF THE GEEK SQUAD, BUT NOT ANYMORE..terrible service

The warranty comes close in cost when claimed for the price of the phone. I'd rather get a new phone at that point! I'm returning it because I was lied to about the cost (they said there was no deductible) and it's only for one year!!
