This is an excellent followup to Cloverfield although it's not anything at all like Cloverfield. Still if you liked Cloverfield I'm sure you'll love this movie too. I think perhaps they will tie the two together in the third installment (there better be a third installment). I don't want to give anything away so no spoilers here but I can say you'll never look at John Goodman the same way again.

One of the best films I've seen this year. So far this year we have been subjected to "Block Buster" films that cost $150 to $200 million dollars to produce & end up getting mostly bad reviews. This movie is just the opposite. What you would call a "small" film with a great story, cast & production with a great ending. The other great "small" films this year(2016) are "The Witch" & "Midnight Special". They all have one thing in common. Great movies!!!

Young lady is knocked unconscious in an accident at the start of the movie. She wakes up in an underground bunker occupied by an older man and a young man. She finds out that the old guy believes there are aliens above ground and keeps her locked up for her own good. Well, she thinks he's nuts and tries to escape a few times. Finally successful, and I will let you figure out the ending..

Before viewing the movie, I made a number of assumptions based on the trailer. Bad mistake. John Goodman is about as creepy as a person can get based on the circumstances surrounding the underground bunker. I will not give away the spoiler here but this movie will have you thinking throughout the entire 103 minutes. I wanted just a little more towards the ending. I hope there's a sequel.

thought it was a sequel to the Cloverfield movie, but it wasn't and did not disappoint.

The movie: such a fantastic psychological thriller. The way in which it's shot, the claustrophobic location, the tense writing, all contributing to this edge of your seat film. The 4K transfer: a very nice increase in quality over the original blu-ray release. Much more noticeable detail and wider/richer colors. Definitely a good option to pick up if you want the best viewing experience for the film.

This is a great little claustrophobic thriller, where the audience will be left on edge not knowing who's really who. John Goodman delivers a menacing performance in which he is alternately terrifying and sympathetic. The connections to the original Cloverfield are tenuous at best, but it's still a crowd pleaser. Listen for Bradley Cooper in an audio cameo early in the film.

Anyone who is a thriller/scifi fan will enjoy this film. Take three characters facing a outside threat in a bomb shelter while unknowingly facing a greater threat even closer, I don't want to give much more away which would ruin the ending. Any film fan can see where the story is heading but it still is satisfying to watch and Steelbook packaging makes it even better.

This film is ridiculously fantastic! A part of the now branded 'Cloverfield' universe, 10 Cloverfield Lane is equal parts horror, suspense, action, & mystery... and is pulled off masterfully. Essentially a three character story, it is the performances of John Goodman (creepy, caring, scary) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (suspicious, resourceful, tough, willing) that carry this film to tremendous heights. Magnificent.

Picked this up on a blind buy since there were only 4-5 steels in store at opening. Ended up loving the movie when I checked it out from redbox so it's a keeper. Much nicer art than the standard blu-ray, although I like the back cover better than the front. Congrats if you got one, it's among the rare exclusives (funny how some are so plentiful and some so few..)

10 Cloverfield Lane is a great suspense/thriller film which ends with a huge bang indeed. Great performances by Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman as characters stuck underground bunker during what is being called an apocalyptic attack. John Gallagher Jr is the only other male who sympathizes with her to try to help her escape. In order to discover the truth she'll have to get away.. Check it out..

This is a great suspense movie. It doesn't rely on a cheap twist, a la M. Night, rather it builds the entire time to a finale that could naturally go in a few different directions, all of which would be plausible and none of which would be cheap. The acting was top notch and the film was the perfect length. I would recommend this movie to all of my friends.

In my opinion this is the best horror / sci fi movie of the year.Don't worry, no spoiler alerts here. The plot where a woman wakes up in a bunker only to be told she can't leave cuz the outer world is dead. The movie does a fantastic job at keeping you guessing if what she's being told is true or not. John Goodman does such a great acting performance. Do yourself a favor and check out this Cloverfield prequel

John Goodman stole the show in this one. His best performance in years I’d say. He was incredibly creepy at times. I’d definitely recommend if you like alien invasion movies or horror/thriller movies. I thought this was much better than the other Cloverfield as well. This is not really a sequel, more of a spin off I guess you could say. Good fun all around.

The film is my personal favorite of the year. Definitely worth a watch by EVERYONE. When the steelbook was announced, I absolutely LOVED the artwork. But when I picked mine up, I noticed it was heavily scratched. I had to return it and get a different one. The matte finish scratches easily, but other than that, it's beautiful, and definitely worth it.

Great movie to make one think some. Ties in with the earlier movie. We like movies and owning our own. Please keep a good variety of new and old movies in your stores. You have cut back but still have a pretty good selection. I like your people and your store and come in fairly often. We have purchased appliances three with excellent sales service and delivery. Not every visit is for large items though.

Really liked the movie. John Goodman's character was really hard to figure out whether or not he was bad or good with (psych issues). Maybe it'll become more clear after watching the movie more. Steelbook is great, love the Steelbook cases. Lots of questions still remain after the movie ends, yet several are answered as well. Very entertaining movie.

You might have seen the prequel "Cloverfield", if not, watch it, it's great. This sequel has nothing to do with it, except that the earth is more or less in the same situation, maybe few months (weeks) later. The performance of the actors is great and the tension is high for the whole movie. Hope you'll never find yourself in that situation

DO NOT read reviews too details; May include some spoilers. It would get 5 stars if I could enjoy the last ending after she escaped. Even though I watched Cloverfield already and knew that they are connected, but the last ending changed the tone of the suspense too much. But the overall it was good... while she was in the bunker.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw this was coming out since I was not a huge fan of the first one. So I waited to see it at a cheap theater and I was surprised at how good it was! It is a great psychological thriller and John Goodman is amazing in his role and does just enough to keep you wondering. If you are at all curious about 10 Cloverfield Lane, I recommend renting it!
