Production could have been better as the music distorts when turned up and could have been mixed a bit better. As a Sia fan though, I love the lyrics and the CD overall.

I was very impressed by this album, I know of SIA through her current exposure throughout the media and from her time singing with Zero 7. This collection though surprised me with her soaring vocals and layered production. One or two songs are clearly 'fillers' but the rest are all potential singles. Highlights = Chandelier, Elastic Heart, Little Black dress.

Sia is a very underrated singer and this album shows just how good she really is. This album does a great job of telling a story in every song. She has a way of singing that really gets you into the song and what she was thinking when she wrote it. Cant wait for her next album.

This is the best new artist since Lady GaGa...This gal is just beginning her career the mood seems dark but it actually not if you like to read the lyrics. And the soundscapes and layers are a joy to the ear.....would love to get this in high rez such as DVD audio or SACD.

The first time I was interested in this singer. Was due to her song Chandlier. The voice mixed with the music just touched by heart. She seems to sing from her heart. Alot of the songs are different but I find very interesting.I will continue to follow her in upcoming releases.she does what she does well. Hats off to you.

Based off two older previous albums I bought this based off the overall album quality. However this Album has altered in the style and is more modern as in contemporary in the music style. It completes with the likes of Katy Perry. I like the album overall but do not over critique it.

I purchased this CD for the songs Chandelier and Elastic Heart. Was very happy to know the other songs were great too. Her lyrics are amazing. She is a super talented singer and song writer. Definitely recommend this CD.

12 Songs and only 3 that I didn't care for. I really like "Free The Animal", "Fire Meets Gasoline", "Elastic Heart", "Big Girls Cry", and "Dressed In Black". Three other ones are OK.

The songwriting and singing by Sia is great, but some songs really feel like the same old "Rihanna-esque" songs she tends to write. Great album, great production, but she could have taken more risks. My girlfriend loved it, though.

Sia is a revelation. He vocal styling is rather unique. The closest I could compare is Rihanna. That said, Sia has written songs for Rihanna (Diamonds). I think you like her or you don't, maybe. One word: Refreshing.

SIA is unique to say the least. She is very artistic and doesn't sell out to make it big. And SIA can sing! Just listen to "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart" and you'll be hooked.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Sia's music for the better part of 10+ years (long before the mainstream public caught wind of her). I am proud of that fact, and even more proud of the recent body of work created by Sia: "1000 Forms of Fear", her sixth album. From the soaring single "Chandelier" to the breathtaking tracks "Big Girls Cry" and "Fire Meet Gasoline", Sia creates a journey, detailing all of her feelings, struggles and emotions with pinpoint precision. Each track is exquisitely written and sung with an emotion rarely seen in today's musical landscape. It's almost as if Sia did this album more so for herself (personal healing) than for the masses. Never one to be conventional, Sia has shied away from the spotlight this time around, doing few - if any- interviews and live performances. This, however, should not take away the fact that Sia has created one of the finest pop albums of the last several years, and possibly the best of her career. I am beyond pleased that Sia is FINALLY being taken seriously and getting the recognition she deserves, not just as a "songwriter behind the scenes", but for what she truly is - an ARTIST.
