FINALLY READ MY AUDIOBOOK OF THIS ONE. SO HAD TO HAVE THE MINISEREIS. BOOK IS MUCH BETTER. THEY CHANGED CHARACTERS, REMOVED CHACTERS AND ALTERED STORYLINE. WHICH WAS OKAY IF YOU HAD NOT READ THE BOOK. BUT THE AUTHOR APPROVED IT IT SOO.....

Many have panned this series... the book was so good. But, I thought it does very well standing on its own.

    Another Take on Time Travel

Another take on Time Travel with some interesting twists, and an excellent setting to do it in - the mystery of JFK's assassination. I have not yet had the pleasure of reading Stephen King's novel this show is adapted from - some have noted the book has key differences, but since I have not read it I can not speak for what those are. For me the series was good as a standalone with a Time Travel aspect that is not explained, but is something that simply is stumbled upon. It seems to take the approach of a 'linear' world, rather than multiple branch time travel stories. The setting is also excellent, with great sets and design work to fit the period.

Okay, I gave this five stars, even though I have read the book and some things are definitely missing. Still, the show works incredibly well as constructed. A school teacher is given the opportunity to go back into time to stop the Kennedy assassination (hence the title, referring to the day of his murder). To tell more would ruin some incredible plot points. It's a Stephen King adaptation, but it is "thriller" not "horror" (and at times, more "drama" than anything else). You know where you are headed in the story, but the journey is great, and a satisfying payoff at the end. You won't be disappointed!

JJ Abrams and Franco unite to adapt Stephen King's off-kilter historical thriller with success, crafting an on-the-edge-of-your-seat viewing experience that is expertly paced and well acted. Casting choices were spot on, especially for the protagonist along with his love interest and what is in my personal opinion the standouts of the cast, Deke Simmons and Miz Mimi. Although the pacing loses it's grounding towards the ending episodes, 11/22/63 is nevertheless an enjoyable watch that is essential for any JFK conspiracy lover, history buff or King fan.

This is a good to very good adaptation of a very long (as most know) book of the same title by Stephen King. It tells the story of a high school English teacher who has a chance to go back in time, to one specific day in 1960, to then live for three years in the past in order to prevent the assassination of President Kennedy.

If you read the Stephen King novel, this mini-series should be sufficient. If you're a hardcore fan of the novel, then it might be a little disappointing. There's one huge difference here that takes away from the main character's persistence and ultimate journey to that fateful day. Still recommended though.

Let's face it, Stephen King's books are more suited to the mini-series than to the movie. Short stories like Maximum Overdrive don't have much of a problem, but otherwise there is just far too much to squeeze into a 2-3 hour movie. Enter 11-22-63, which took the book, and turned it into a miniseries instead of a movie, allowing for better plot development.

Stephen King's works have been adapted over a variety ion film and tv projects. For every Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, or The Shining . there's a Sleepwalkers or Dreamcatcher. For 11/22/63, the TV/Hulu adaptation is actually quite good. The novel (which I loved), is quite long, and quite detailed, so while a few cuts were made, the story made the transition well.

Must have for any King fans out there, love this adaptation, very excellent series and this is a better format than turning the book into a movie, lots of room to breathe and enjoy this well fleshed out narrative:)

Many have wondered what the world would be like if JFK were never assassinated. This TV Mini Series attempts to give an opinion about that. A very interesting take on the idea. The way they go back in time is a little weird but it usually is. An interesting tell about how changing the past can lead to unexpected happenings. We never know whether it will be good or bad.

Having the room to tell the whole story of Jack Epping's trip to 1963 is what made this great to watch. At first I wasn't thrilled with James Franco getting this role, but he proved me wrong, and Sarah Gadon as his love interest had the goods too, they made Jack & Sadie's romance real. Over all this is one of the best adaptions of a Stephen King's book.

The biggest problem with most Stephen King adaptations is that they are made into 90-120 minute movies. When you're dealing with a 1,000 plus page book, that just doesn't do it justice. Doing it as a miniseries helps to get as much of the material in, stay true to story, and not be punching a clock.

I have always loved Stephen King's work, but many of his best stories have been made into mediocre tv series. This on the other hand was very well done...finely crafted and beautifully filmed. The actors did a superb job with their respective roles as well. A bit melodramatic at times, but one of his best tv series to be sure. If you haven't seen it, you should...and read the book too, it's most excellent!

What if you could go back in time to change/prevent bad things in history? Would you? Should you? This explores just that with a man going back in time to try to prevent the assassination of JFK, but at every turn something seems to prevent him from changing things with even worse results at time.

Stephen King has written one of his best stories with this one. The movie plays a little with the story but the differences keep the bulk of the story in place. One of the best stories takes on one of the most iconic times of our history and we get thoroughly entertained. Highly recommended.

Based on previous movies from Stephen King books, I was a little skeptical about how this would translate to the screen, but, I wasn't disappointed. Follows the book very closely and really does justice to a tough subject. Grab your popcorn and sit down. It's going to be a "bumpy night".

Stephen King's time traveling story set against the backdrop of the assassination of JFK is suspenseful and thrilling. I enjoyed all of the acting in this film but James Franco in particular stands out in the lead role. One of the best TV adaptations of a Stephen King novel.

This mini series was a great adaptation of one of King's finest works. A sci-fi adventure that developed into a romantic love story. The series left out elements of the novel for conciseness but retained the flavor. A terrific cast delivered faithful portrayals especially James Franco who is a competent artist when Rogen isn't around
