Glad to be able to add this to my Blu ray collection

Great storyline, acting, cast, direction, presentation and editing. A hard to take, but recommended viewing, even with the physical violence and mental abuse. A close look at human history.

You can't help but to keep watching and praying for Solomon. I was not aware that free black citizens were kidnapped and sold into slavery. A very graphic account of the atrocities of slavery.

Nothing much to say but wow! This movie is definitely a smart buy. Intense, emotional and overall the actors were amazing in this film. I'll b recommending this to friends and family for sure.

Great movie...it just shows how the horrors of slavery destroyed a mans life...love the movie...I almost cry while watching the movie

This movie will really make you thankful for true freedom, also will show you how quick your life will change but you have to hold on until a change comes no matter how long it takes. Great movie

This is a very good historical movie. A man's true story in a dark chapter of American history that you would never read about in the history books in our schools. I highly recommend it everyone.

It is a true story and very sad people were treated that bad. It needs to be told so no one ever forgets and it happens again. The acting was great. At least this true story had a happy ending.

Some of the scenes are hard to look at, but so were scenes from Gladiator. This was an extraordinary film showing many sides of society during the slave trade period. Highly recommended.

Powerful real life story brought to life on the big screen. I knew it would win the Best Picture Oscar for 2013 the first time I saw the film. I would have been disappointed if it did not win.

This movie made the scenes so real that I found myself crying a lot, which says to me that the director gave a real depiction of what occured during those days of slavery. Very breath taking.

I read the book before I actually watched the movie and of course the book was more in depth, but the movie was still a great movie. This was a great movie for beginning actors and actresses.

I will admit that I only purchased the movie for an actor that was in the movie, but after watching it, I was impressed with every aspect of the movie. Wonderful plot, actors, and story line.

Wonderful acting by everyone involved. Great story that needs to be told and for many to see so people will never forget the struggle we all came from and how far we all have come as people.

This moving is very very good, well written and the actors give a great performance. It shows the true horrors of slavery in America, and how it tore families apart. It is a must see movie.

I have not seen the movie, but as we know it won the oscar and everyone speaks great things about it, so I'm totally down for this.
