The Blue Ray version is missing the original ending that was on DVD. I was not smart enough to read reviews and wasted my money for better quality but a depressing ending. Keep your DVD copy.

This is a great horror movie That keeps you in suspense

One of my favorite horror movies of all time. No gore. Purely physiological. Hard to pull off. Very underrated film. I couldn’t hear the carpenters “we’ve only just begun” for years without chills. It still hits me now if it hear it on occasion. Based on a short story by Stephen king. It’s amazing how they interpreted it.

Thank you bestbuy for making this film on bluray cheap and easy to purchase. One of my favorite stephen king films. Such a great creepy film without any nudity/sexual activity. Great update to my collection.

Mike Enslin (John Cusack) is a successful author who enjoys worldwide acclaim debunking supernatural phenomena. This story is by Stephen King and well adapted to film. 1408, the room number to the hotel that Mike is investigating to disprove the stories of supernatural that have occurred at the hotel The visual effects enhanced the story line as Mike stays in room 1408 and experiences the supernatural firsthand. John Cusack is good and believable as the author.

While I don't care for all stories and novellas by Stephen King produced in movie format, I really enjoy watching "1408" multiple times. With each viewing, I see something I missed the first time around. The plot is straightforward, but there are surprising twists along the way. Very good acting, suspenseful, poignant, thought provoking, oh heck, it's just one wonderful roller-coaster ride of a movie!

A really great movie that feels relatively grounded even as it spirals out of control. I would have done the third act a little. I thought Samuel and John were both excellent.

1408 is a solid Stephen King adaptation. It’s one you don’t hear people talk about anymore. Definitely deserves a rewatch.

For such an older movie, the visual isn’t as bad as I remember! Blu ray looks awesome!!
