Great product. A great improvement over my older HP which is 7 years old. I am very pleased with the price from Best Buy

I love the laptop. It is fast and no problems. However, I really wanted a backlit keyboard. I type in the dark a lot and normally have trouble adjusting to laptop keyboards as I use a full sized keyboard most of the time. This model was advertised as having this feature but came without it. The keyboard is very nice to type on. I have no problems loosing my finger placement. But, Best Buy sold me with a feature and did not deliver. I contacted them and was disconnected when being transferred to a specialized customer service team for extremely unhappy customers. I feel they didn't deliver what was advertised. But the computer is great. I'm not taking it back!

I went into this purchase thinking that an 800 dollar computer should handle my needs. I understand this is a mid-tier computer, so I wasn't expecting it to be AMAZING, but I can't even be satisfied. it freezes, glitches, and I have to restart the laptop all the time. I was very nieve thinking that an 800 dollar computer would have a good processor (because laptops under $500 have a 4 or 6core processing unit). I WAS WRONG. this computer has a dual-core processing unit, so I can't even open one software and search the web at the same time and you can forget about coding. This was my fault for picking a laptop with a dual-core processor for $800 dollars. I was an ignorant freshman in college trying to find a decent laptop.
Overall, if you want to edit videos, render videos, or even run software THIS IS NOT YOUR COMPUTER.
if you just need it for searching the web or "school" ( so papers, projects, etc"
your better off buying a much cheaper computer because it's sad but my brothers Chromebook that is less then 200 dollars can search the web, and take care of his school work just as good as this computer if not better.

I have owned HP laptops for years. This one is by far the best I have owned. It is fast, light weight the screen quality is perfect and for my needs a great purchase. If you are looking for a great HP 15"6 inch laptop this is the one!

I checked the specs thoroughly before deciding to purchase this laptop. Thinking I'd made a good choice, I spent nearly $800 on a machine that is sometimes slow, glitchy, freezes, and the keyboard is sometimes completely unresponsive (to the point where I have to force restart the laptop to make it work again - still not sure what causes this issue).
Another thing I'm not crazy about (though it's not a huge deal), is that the volume isn't very loud, even on the highest setting. Again, I may just have a bad model, but I can't recommend this to anyone when the cost is over $500 and it's this unreliable.
