It has a very good storyline with excellent acting and great scenery.

Good show. Good origin story. Didn't like the amount of foul language. I really don't think they talked like that in the 1800s.

First origin story of Yellowstone. Western that I enjoyed but slow at times. It was even better the second time I watched it.

If you love a good western, then this is a great purchase. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill show their talents go beyond singing. Add to that the best cowboy actor since John Wayne - Sam Elliot. That combined with a good story and a great soundtrack, and you will breeze through all 10 episodes. My only regret is that this is a one-time prequel to the multi season television series Yellowstone. I would have loved seeing additional episodes / seasons of 1883.

This helps explain some stuff in the Yellowstone tv series. The scene where Sam the Comanche tells that a storm is coming by looking at the sky is not fictional. Native Americans learned how to tell the weather based on the way the winds turn with height. They told scientists of their discovery which lead to the Thermal Wind modern meteorologists use in part for forecasting.

Found this to be an excellent series, 10 1hr episodes realistic and well done. Sam Elliot, Tim, Faith and Isabel May are amazing actors in this, much much better than I had anticipated. Right up there with Lonesome Dove, but obviously this is shot with today's superior technology. I will buy the next one in the series.

It’s not Best Buy’s fault that the movie is sort of slow and not really having a purpose. The cinematography and video it’s great that the movie itself is not great.

1883 is one of the best Western series ever produced for television. If you're a fan of Yellowstone, you don't really need to be sold on this. 1883 has all the aesthetics that Taylor Sheridan brings to all his projects. The characters feel like real people and you feel like you're growing with them as they make their tough journey by wagon train. The casting is impeccable. Sam Elliott is money in the bank for any Western but you will be really amazed at how great everyone else is in the cast. From the Dutton family to even the smaller roles, they all make an impression. No complaints about this BD presentation of 1883 except perhaps there is no digital code offered.

What a mini-series 1883 was. This 10 part movie really kept my interest the entire time. The props and places they used to film this really made my authentic like it was pre-1900. The actors, couldn't ask for anyone better that Tim McGraw and his wife. Watched it twice already.

Unbelievable! This is by far one of the best series I have ever seen. The actors are amazing. The multiple story lines are exquisite. If you have never been a western fan…. This will be the watermark for you.

A must watch for fans of the Yellowstone series. Outstanding performances from the entire cast. Love the cinematography too. Gritty, heart wrenching, and sad, laced with western style action. 1883 is terrific cinematic journey from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
