I purchased this protection plan just for extra assurance. I later found out that dji offers there own version of this called dji care refresh. Its excellently the same. This is a 350 dollar protection plan for 2 years. Djis is 75 dollars yearly. So for 2 years that's only 150 dollars less than half bestbuys price. However VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION in order to get dji care refresh if you purchase the dron from bestbuy you must go to djis store website go to services and select the one for your drone the. Itll ask for your drone serial number which can be found on the box or inside the battery compartment on the drone. You can also do this when first setting up your drone it'll give you a pop up asking about it. If you wish to use djis protection plan note that you must sign up for it with in 24 hours of first registering the drone to a dji account.

The convenience of walking in with your broken drone and walking out with a new one was great. However I paid for 2 years, and when I exchanged my broken one a couple months later, it used up the entire plan and I am no longer covered. I feel that if you buy the 2 years, you should get 2 replacements, 1 per year. DJI will give you 2 replacements per year for $70. The convenience is worth the extra charge, but only buy one year at a time, otherwise its a waste.

Got this insurance as the representative told me that it would be good for 2 years. When I returned drone and got new one they asked me to buy insurance again! None explains this before you purchase drone. You have 2 weeks rerun the item for no cost. If I had know that I wouldn’t but this rip off insurance.

Once you use once for whatever malfunction happens. You will have to buy another protection plan.

I took me months to get my drone back. I think DJI does the same including with the drone. Not a big fan of Geek Squad.

A waste of money considering DJI company offers their own protection plan for much less money.

Didnt need to use the warranty fir this purchase so it was a waste.

I think this service could be better cheaper amd more affordable if you ask me....its ok but idk.

Way over priced...but I went with it anyways because it’s cheaper than a new drone if something happens to it.

First and for foremost, the app is terrible. The instructions for getting the drone working are no where to be found. I had to go on youtube, once you finally connect the control to the drone, stand by, because it is unsafe. This drone has a mind of its own, the control has been designed by an infant. It moves on its own and where it wants to. You can hit your house a neighbors home, trees, cars etc. This drone will not stay neutral. It moves all over the place. Its a very cheaply made drone, Save up a bit more and get a DJI drone for a reasonable price. The camera on this drone you have to move manually and once its in the air, it stays just as you left it. The battery compartment is designed in such a bad way that it feels like you are going to break it when removing or placing the battery in the drone. It definitely feels like a toy. So be very careful with your surroundings. This is NOT a plug and fly drone, you will have to be very careful and get used to very confusing controls. Im sorry, but this drone is just not worth it

Price is high for coverage, but I went ahead and got it. Took my drone in on December 14th, they told me because of covid they are looking at 2 week turn around. The status on my tracking never changed until December 29th and show they sent my drone to dji for repairs. Well I should have just used my dji coverage. After the 29th I didn't have any updates so I called the store in lakeland florida. They searched and said they don't know what's going on because it hasn't been updated. They would have a manager call me within 24 hrs. After 3 days no call I went to the store and talked to a geek squad employee. He said dji had my drone and he's not sure when it will be back. He will follow up with them. He stuck by his word and called me 2 days later saying he has a new one on the way. He was very helpful but here it is 53 days later and no drone in hand. He is the only reason I gave 2 stars.

Had a minor damage to the gimbal after a crash and brought the drone in to be looked at and hoped that they would repair it. However, the Geek squad rep said that the only way for them to address it would be to give me a replacement and that would end my drone protection plan. Now that i know, i would not recommend buying it again.
