    I'm actually thinking about canceling this because when I bought it, they talked it up and made it sound like it was better than my cellphone service providers warranty plan. Not long after I signed up and started paying, they changed what they do for your devices. To my knowledge, I received nothing from Best Buy notifying me of the change and it wasn't until, I needed a new screen installed onto phone that I learned about any changes to the plan. They told me that they no longer replace screens and that they would just replace the entire phone!! Needless to say, I ended up using my service providers warranty that I've been paying for for years and had my screen replaced for $30. I don't recommend signing up for Best Buy's plan.

    Geek Squad use to be great, which is why I got it. My entire account uses one from Verizon, but my 2 main phones needed what geek squad use to offer which was a same day replacement. I actually used it for my s20 and it was not competitive to my other plan. both had a deductible about the same, but where my other insurance would send the phone overnight, it took me 4 days to get the phone through geek squad. I understand the system was abused by people in the past, but this Is to the point where I see no advantage to paying extra. I would pay more to have the option to go back to a more expedited plan if it could beat the Verizon plan. Otherwise will be moving from geeks quad as there is no benefit.

    Mixed Feelings

    I have had a protection plan on my laptop for a few years. They told me to bring it in every 3-4 months for a tune up to keep it running at its best. Today I took it in and the guy said there is nothing he can do to it. I asked what they have done in the past and he said he didn't know and that was on them... even though he works for "them". Now trying to cancel this protection plan but that must be done over the phone. Tried to get through twice and both times after an hour and 1 min on hold, their system cut off my call.

    I like the idea, but when I broke my phone the insurance side of geek squad was not accommodating at all. The say they didn't have any replacement and I was to send my phone to them and would me a voucher. They wouldn't even tell for how much. And I would be without a phone and I wouldn't have my data, like contacts, email, etc. I went to the store and they were great got me a replacement phone and transferred all my data.

    Agent is store was frustrated with other customers, she wasnt very friendly, she put my screen protector on my new phone hurriedly and to this day it keeps getting bubbles near the bottom, no matter how often I smooth it out...not pleased with the service or attitude I received

    200 dollar charge

    I love best buy warranties but I hate that you have to pay 200 bucks every time you use it. I guess its better then buying a new phone but for 240 dollars for 2 years plus 200 dollar charge when you break it its almost a wash. Easier to swallow(giggity) when it was just 100.

    Purchase Geek Squad when purchasing a Samsung phone. They do not tell you they do not service Samsung. I paid $11 a month for over 1 1/2 years only to find out when I needed it, they did not repair Samsung phones. I immediately canceled the service.

    They try to explain how getting insurance through the store instead of tour mobile carrier is so much better, but it's the same. The workers are so quick to tell you $8.99 but then you find out it's close to $10 a month (because of taxes).

    I'm not sure i would take this option again. When you do have a problem, they really aren't interested. If your item needs to be fixed chances are you are going to have to leave it with them

    Nothing to say, never actually used. Just know I've had to pay for 2 yrs for phone protection, even though I was already with carrier.

    Ended up switching to the Verizon insurance for my phones. Didnt want to pay $200 to replace my phone when it was just a few cracks.
