I bought the plan but luckily have never had to use it. It is like any insurance. It is expensive but worth it for peace of mind. I hope to never have to use it. If I am correct, the plan does not cover a replacement for a new product. Make sure you are aware of that. You will receive a refurbished phone and have to pay a deductible. However, the phone is expensive. I would have to keep paying for it if it was lost or broken.

I bought a pixel 3 about a year ago and it was not charging properly, it was not accepting usb c accessories with out holding them just so in the slot, battery life was about 2 hours when on battery save mode. Google said too bad factory warranty is up, Verizon wanted to give me $100 in trade for a phone that cost me almost $1000 a year ago, SAD STORY....except..geek squad took my junk pixel back and gave me full retail credit towards a phone of my choosing. I would've been totally hosed BOOO GOOOGLE yay geek squad.

I am always hesitant to bite on the up-sell at checkout (extended warranties, etc.) like this, but we took the option (don't remember exactly cost) on 2 Samsung S10+ phones last summer (phones like $1,900 as I recall for both). My wife dropped her phone (one too many times - sort of a daily thing), and it developed a flaw in the display. $199 later she got a fully brand new(ish) phone, and great support getting it set-up from new phone. Glad we took the Geek Squad service plan!

I got this for my Samsung Z fold 3. I paid ~$1400 for the phone, so the extra ~$250 for the protection is a small price to pay for the peace of mind, especially considering that the foldable screen in inherently more delicate than a gorilla glass screen on a flat screen. Fortunately, I have not had to use this service, but my past experiences with Best Buy service leads me to expect good customer service in the future.

I choose this over the Verizon plan because it was cheaper. Verizon wanted to charge $17 a month for protection plan. I picked the plan that was cheaper (doesn't include if I lost or had it stolen). Should be fine. Hard to review when I've had phone for 2 weeks. I was offered total tech option, but didn't think it was worth the extra $$.

I always buy the Geek Squad protection even though I've never used it. The phones are like small computers and anything can go wrong. My only complaint is that you can't continue coverage past two years. Any time I've ever had a problem it was about 6 months after coverage expired. It's usually not worth repairing since I'm not covered anymore, so I have to buy a new phone.

With the original program, any item was available under purchase at bestbuy for service. Since 2021, the program has a max of 2 year coverage. Other stores you can get a 5year warranty on appliances.

Nothing beats the added protection and service one could get on all of your equipment and devices. The service is worth the extra support and protection.

The agents were incredibly helpful and positive even when my problem took until after closing to solve. They lost a star because the deductible costed almost as much as the original plan. Outside of that, I was very satisfied.

I havent had to use the plan yet. Its cheaper to buy the insurance frkm best buy than to get it from the phone carrier for at least the first 2 years.

Good protection plan puts the mind at ease of course, one thing i do have to complaint about they dont give you the chance to keep goin with the plan just cut you off at the end with no notice

I first used this service when I purchased S9 plus. The value is great and the prices are very fair. I chose to purchase an additional plan for Note 20. The plan was extensive, but I believe the value is there. I prefer this protection over Samsung and Apple.

Its good to have i always usually outlast the warranty but the peace of mind is good just by chance.

These are very smart people, as they have a grasp on most everything you need that is electronic. On the phone they answer your questions, however sometimes they can be hard to understand on the telephone, due to phone quality and background noise.

purchased galaxy phone on black friday 2018. good discount on phone and the sales persons were friendly and very much up to speed in guiding our purchase and answering questions. this influenced our geek squad enrollment w/o any pressuring from sales force.

Very handy to have for today's 2000 dollar smart phones, its a must have actually. Service is professional and fast, quality of work is really good. How ever if you do not have a Geek Squad plan and need to hire them. They are shockingly expensive

I had no idea this service allowed for a month. But these folks considered it especially for a laptop that crapped out after the month. You get the usual service for the 1 or 2 year plans. Let's just say this is on their hidden menu ;)

Its good to have the geek squad protection plan. Even if you purchased a expensive product, today’s technology can give you problems and doesn’t work. Geek squad can do the evaluation and work with customers for resolution.

Purchased item as a gift and the protection made sense. I want the gift to be as free from issues as possible. If it breaks it will be fixed or replaced at no cost. This is a basic service I paid full price for. A solid full gift package.

I have had the agents come out just once and by informing them what the tv was doing they came prepared with what was needed to fix the problem.
