    I purchased an open box lens with accidental protection plan from geek squad. The lens worked amazing, but was missing back lens cover. Great for getting pictures of birds up close.

    If you plan on doing anything around kids or sports it’s worth the extra money in protection. Plus they clean your products once a year and maintaining it

    The plan covers almost everything. They couldn’t put my accident though as a insurance claim but they gave me a whole new device replacing the broken one

    I don't usually purchase extra protection. However, I choose to for my Nixon camera and lens since I am a klutz! They stand true to their word, speaking from experience!

    Bottom line. I am clumsy. I always get at least a 1 yr protection plan on my lenses. Its always a good investment.
