I purchased the accidental protection plan assuming that it was like the others I have purchased for various laptops and DVD players. Unfortunately there was no automatic renewal and I never received a notice that it was going to expire.

wanted a device to save all my music from iTunes. It worked OK, until a month ago when it would not save my entire library so I could play it when I traveled. GeekSquad at the store couldn't help, salesman at Best Buy said there was no equivilent product and sent me to Apple. Apple said "sorry, old technology.
So there is nothing out there which will back-up my iTunes library so I can play it in my cars.

If you are careful, this is unnecessary

Spending an extra 20% for a single year of protection turned out to be a financial error. I was careful and after a few years still haven't broken it. If I broke it short of a year it would have been worth while.

I would normally not purchase the extended warranty, but with purchasing a faulty MP3 player and then learning that Best Buy only has a fifteen day return policy on electronics, I felt that I had to purchase the warranty for my own protection!

I had to return the MP3 player because it was not compatible with what we wanted to use it for so unfortunately I did not get to use the geek squad for this item

A major purchase, I have always bought the extended warranty's. I have had to use them a few times and the Geek Squad has always handled my repairs/replacements without any problems.

My daughter saved up and bought this with some birthday money. Everybody thinks she has an iphone when she is using it in public. Ipod works great and takes nice photos.

With the flimsiness of the technology was a good option.

It is is pointless when you are forced to pay a $20+ difference on a controller that doesn't have stickdrift. You can believe I just left in anger. Give me $400 giftcard and we will call that even.

This was my third iPod shuffle. Each one was returned for the same reasons. They didn't hold a charge or turn on. They worked great for a couple days and then stopped working all together.
