    Replacement plans - when good, when not

    When Best Buy posts replacement plans and such for me to review, they unfortunately do not link what the product was for. So instead, I'm going to give you my thoughts on when these plans are great and when they're pointless. High dollar items have expensive replacement plans. And frankly, high dollar items just don't break any more. If they do, they break in the first year, when it's under warranty. So save your money. It's for items with high likelihood of breakage where these plans are great. For example, all gaming headsets suck, and they all break. So I get the replacement plan on every single one I get for my kid. WELL worth the money. Same goes for small appliances, like convection ovens. I have gotten my money back on those multiple times over.

    Definitely Worth The Money This Time

    I purchased this protection plan for a coffee maker that I bought my wife, I purchased one previously and used it to get the coffee maker replaced. The sales rep told me that I could purchase another when I got the free replacement and purchase it for two years because the coffee maker manufacturer warranty was one year. It was a good deal and I recommend these protection plans for some appliances that you use alot.

    Always get Geek Squad!

    I love shopping at Best Buy and I always get the warranty as they have great customer service. Geek Squad recently paid for itself for me as the repair company botched the repair on my fridge and I needed a replacement fridge as it could not be repaired any longer. Geek Squad covered the replacement in full which was such good news to get right before the holidays!

    2 Year Warranty

    Purchased this for our Panasonic Toaster Oven. But so far it's given us absolutely no problems so haven't needed the additional warranty. But at the time we felt it was worth getting it as we use it in our business and we started out on a shoestring... so had it gone on the blink we'd have been covered. We generally don't get these but for things like this, our cell phones, etc., it's worth it just to have that piece of mind.

    Haven't Ever Had To Use It But Sounds Great

    Basically using a null hypothesis here because I haven't had to use it so I don't know if Best Buy would actually see it through on their end if I brought in a broken juicer which is what I bought this warranty for. The features are great though, basically a completely worry free warranty where I don't need to save my box or anything. I just bring in the unit if it's broken and Best Buy replaces it with the same or current model at no extra cost, in-store, on the spot without me having to ship it or anything.

    I wish all appliances and electronics would have this insurance. I bought a coffee maker a year ago, and it was giving trouble. The coffee was not good quality anymore, and sometimes it would stop working. Decides to take it to Best Buy to fix it when I found out that I can just change it for a new one or a different one with this insurance. Best Buy has become my main shopping spot now. You will not regret getting this insurance!!

    I haven't needed the 2-Year Geek Squad Product Replacement yet. However, I am confident with how I handle my precious equipment and would have had all my emotions shattered should it happen that I need it. I am confident that if and when I do need help from the Geek Squad it would be more than the cost of the 2-Year Geek Squad Product Replacement so this was a good deal.

    I bought a 2 year warranty for my Ninja coffee maker and it is a great value. I take care of my kitchen appliances so the chance of using any extra warranty is low, but it is nice to have it "just in case".

    I always get product replacement on whatever I buy. Why would you want to be without it? People don't understand and think that it is enough to just go with the product warrantee. What that basically means is that if your new produce is found to be defective be cause it was made badly then maybe they will do something about it. With the product replacement it doesn't cost that much and you have the peace of mind that if pretty much anything goes wrong you get a new on (read the small print for actual coverage)

    I got the geek squad added to my purchase of a blender as I juice alot and should it ever break down which I doubt as the Ninja 1000 is so well built but stuff happens and if it does I want to take ti in and get a replacement on the spot - the little extra paid is well worth the price of the product for the convenience of just taking it in for a replacement should it be needed! On a product that you use every day I think its essential to have that convenience if and when its needed!

    Bought a warranty when I purchased a LG OLED tv (1st time I've done that) and after a year and half the picture went bad with burn in. Called Geek Squad, they came out looked at it, authorized a new replacement and delivered a brand new Samsung QLED to replace it. I did like the OLED before it went bad but the Samsung is also a very nice TV. So happy ending.

    The Geek Squad warranty is the most convenient and hassle-free warranty ever. I put this warranty on every electronic purchase for a very reasonable premium. Whenever I needed to use the warranty, my device or item was either replaced or repaired quickly without any paperwork or unnecessary questioning. I'd recommend putting this warranty on all Best Buy purchases for extra peace of mind.

    Ready to Trade in after "Stay at Home" is Lifted

    This was the second product protection plan I purchased for a product (Keurig Duo) that is substandard - with product design issues. Would never buy another one of these or recommend it. The option of single cup dispensor (to high over the cup) and the coffee pot option was a nice feature. But, the product designers could have done a better job instead of rushing the product to market as they did.

    You can't beat the exchange plan on smaller items. Can't beat the repair plan on larger items. Fact of the matter is (I'm not trying to sell plans here), unless you feel you can replace it (buy a new one) if it fails...get a plan and your covered! I've been in the repair business for over 30 years & can fix about anything, but the fact of the matter is many times parts are too expensive or not attainable. With common manufacturing designs focused on "engineered obsolescence"- Get a plan & you'll be happy you did ;)

    Two key points to this dryer: 1). Dries hair very quickly on high level. I have very thick hair and using this dryer on my hair for less than five minutes, seems to do the trick! 2). Has maintained its durability. I'm very clumsy at times with a lot of my hair devices (which is why I also purchased GSP) but from the many times I've dropped this dryer, it has not broken apart on me. Overall I'm very satisfied and even purchased another for my mother, great product!

    Better Protection Plan with Total Tech

    Will exercise in January 2022. The product protection plan for $9 if needed is better than paying for each individual item. Could pay for itself if protection is exercised on a device. Will see if the plan provides new razor blades for my Norelco for $9. Old protection plan provide new razor blades.

    Great Investment

    I was reluctant to spend the money at first. But being able to put 3 machines on the plan has been so helpful. I don't have to worry about maintenance or repairs, I just take the computers in and drop them off. And having the plan makes me more likely to get regular maintenance I've been skipping. It's really cool when I schedule an appointment. Every time the job has been complete ahead of schedule. This is a great investment. Definitely been worth the money.
