Great movie. Ahead of its time. Worth watching more than once fo the special effects.

Science fiction at its finest. Excellent picture and audio quality in this 4k release.

The film is problematic and enigmatic. A special beginning and middle, only to let down and confuse at the end. A slower burn than Blade Runner, pacing isn't optimal. But fans of the film will be treated to perhaps one of the finest restorations seen on UHD. The detail is stunning, and the colors vivid. The sound is defined, crisp, and evenly mixed. After seeing this, one wonders why such restoration effort isn't common among older films.

A Classic and it looks Great up-scaled, It is nice to see some of the set in Hi-Def.

Stunning to watch in 4K. Classic film, best way to watch it short of having your own 70mm theater.

I've only seen the standard Blu-Ray (Haven't got an Ultra-HD TV yet). It's a beautiful restoration of a nearly 50 year old film! The picture is stunning and the sound crystal clear. Can't wait to upgrade my set so I can see it in UHD!

This release was delayed multiple times and I'm so glad to finally have it. The design is simple but fantastic. Steelbook has a nice matte finish to it. Absolutely incredible film to watch in 4K. Easily one of the greatest films ever made.

This on 4k looks amazing. Every light, color, and space shuttle hallway looks crisp and heavenly.

It had been a while since my last viewing, so seeing this in 4k was like seeing it for the first time.

Yet another Si-Fi classic on 4K! An amazing movie with great visuals, great sound and just a great story overall

One of my all time favorite movies and I'm joined by many others. The 4K HDR is wonderful and the Dolby Vision takes it a step further (you have to have a Dolby Vision player, I use the SONY UBP-X700). A must have for your 4K TV.

While the blue ray was always good, the restored 4K is just incredible! Greater detail, greater shading and an improved sonic score, just as great as I remember it at the Ziegfeld's huge screen in NYC. And the extras set this apart.

If you have not seen 2001: A Space Odyssey... what are you waiting for? And now, that it's on 4k, you'll be amazed at this wonderful movie. One of Stanley Kubrick's greatest films. A story written by the late great Arthur C. Clarke.

One of my wife's favorites. Still goes over my head but visually stunning

2001: A Space Odyssey is finally here in 4K. It looks amazing! The score sounds amazing! The movie looks as if it were made today, not 50 years ago. Plus you get lots of special features and some cool pictures included.

This movie is pristine and full of wonder. Now you can REALLY see what a monumental achievement this movie is. I am going to look for these old movies on 4k because the transfer of 70 mm to 4k brings out amazing details.

Featuring an immaculate restoration from original film elements, 2001 has never looked and sounded so amazing. In 4K, this looks like watching a master print of the film for the first time ever. Highest possible recommendation.
