This is one of those movies that isn't about the acting or the plot really. Simply because they both lack. However, this movie was ALOT of fun to watch. I tend to look at movies without sticking my nose in the air. Pop up some popcorn and watch a spectacular display of CGI. Movies don't have to be NON fiction to grip the audience.

Saw this at the cinema when it came out and thought it was very enjoyable. If you want a deep meaningful film, with oscar winning performances, this is not for you. It's special fx are fantastic and personally Woody harrelson's character is a delight. John Cusack also does well with the traditional cheesey lead role in a disaster movie. There are some cardboard moments from the other actors and the film is a good 2 and a half hours long but if you want throw open your mind to fun ride of disaster, this is it. I will be buying the blu-ray to enjoy the fx at their best.

If you want something believeable, watch a snoozer like Ghadi or something. If you just want something to entertain you, this is a great movie for that. The plot is dumb, acting's not good, and John Cusack survives at the last second at least 20 times. That being said, I love to watch this movie! It makes me laugh, it's silly, it knows it's a Hollywood disaster movie and embraces it to the fullest. I've seen it at least 4 times and will see it many more times in the future.

Ok so I saw this in theaters and Had to buy it. It really is one of the better Disaster Movies to come out of hollywood The Cast was decent in the part they had to play the one who stood out the mosst is Woody Harrelson he has the perfect role for his part in the film. I would definatley recommend on renting or buying The movie is about what's going to happen in 2012 You know end of world type of thing. But really good Rent or buy you will enjoy

I'd wanted to see this movie in the movies but missed it. I enjoyed it pretty much. The characters were kind of flat except for the kids and the independent character who lived in Yellowstone in his camper. It a good diversionary movie. Make some popcorn and just relax; no thinking involved.

This Movie was really good the acting wasn't Bad I'd recommend This Movie to someone that likes Disaster Movies like myself what's great about this movie is the fact that the special affects are amazing I really enjoyed the Special affects what's not so great is the fact that John Cusack looked like the Character I'm not a Fan of John Cusack but this movie was good.

This movie has you on the edge of your seat all the way through!! The special effects are fantastic!! With our home theater system and blue-ray you get the same effects you get at the movie theater. This is a dvd we will watch over and over and be thrilled each time. Don't miss this one!!

In my mind movies are meant to entertain and this movie does that very well. The visual effects are amazing and sure there are some cliche/cheesy moments but what film doesn't have them? Definitely worth a look for anyone. Only thing I can nitpick about is the length of the movie at 2 hours and 38 minutes.

can watch this movie over and over.There are so many big names in this film that make this film fun to watch. Everything except the kitchen sink is thrown in to make this movie one of the best `end of the world' films ever made. great cast

Pretty much your basic movie which is centered around the world Apocalypse. If you are planning on buying this, buy it for the effects, the acting and plot are kind of dull and there are way to many close calls.

Enjoyed this movie Verry much Was a little predictable, I mean how many times can you barely excape desaster, only about 20 or so times in this movie. but it was an enjoyable movie. P. S. Hope we all don't have to deal with all of that catastrophy in my gineration.

The special effects on this movie are outstanding! The story line was easy to follow, and there was never a dull moment. Even though it's a little longer than most movies, the time went by quickly. I was even hoping it was going to last longer!

Cinematography is excellent, the ideas and plot are intriguing and action is undeniable...definately worth checking out...The acting is B rate, but what would you expect...it's "Day After Tomorrow" on steroids

I enjoyed 2012 because of the combination of actors you cared about, the action that was non-stop, and the special FX that were mind-blowing.

This is the best movie I have ever seen.It really makes you think about what will happen in our future,what's left of it any way.If you don't believe in the rath of God then you should watch this movie.

The Movie is Worth Seeing, very good FX, Action, Acting very good ending very good.. Worth Buying But seeing it once was enough for me.. Woody H. plays a great roll in this flick, very funny

I really enjoyed this movie.I thought the Day after Tomorrow was great well move over. The special effects in thos movie are awsome. If you liked the Day After Tomorrow Then go out and buy 2012.

The movie was great. Mostly all destruction of our planet. It was action packed and had you cheering for the destruction and survival of a few charcters. We would watch it again...

The only better way to view this movie is to see it on the big screen. Even with 52" HD the blu-ray blows your mind away.

This movie is pretty good on Blu-Ray with a surround sound if anything if you purchase this movie just unplug your phone.
