I received this CD as a gift. I have listened to it many times since then and really enjoy the music.

The Commodores were much more than a background sound for Lionel Richie's vocals. This isn't the complete Commodores, but it does provide a nice sampling of their work which spanned more than a decade. It has instrumental funk tracks, disco era staples and some of the best ballads of the late Motown era. One of the real highlights is the Commodores tribute to Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson in Nightshift, which came several years after Richie left the band. It doesn't have everything, but there is a lot to like for anybody that is even a minor fan of the Commodores and you can't expect much more at this bargain price.
