Great way to finish off the microwave. I put this in place of a couple cabinet doors so I didn’t have to have one over the stove anymore. VERY quiet and works well. Install wasn’t too bad but the instructions could have been more clear. I took a guess as to which way was up.

Picked up at store and in perfect condition. Used for new GE profile model PCHK11S1WSS built in. Replaced similar GE profile that was 13 years old and discontinued. Took less than 15 minutes for my handy man to pull out old microwave and trim kit and put in new. Trim kit rails pit perfectly on bottom of the microwave and are screwed into predrilled holes on bottom of the microwave. Then the whole thing just slides into the base nailed into cabinet and you screw the cover on. Some have complained about gap between trim and microwave but I thought it fit fine and looked great. The top of this new cover is straight vs. previous was curved so I did touch up paint on my cabinet which had been covered by old trim but frankly most wouldn’t notice it. I do think it’s expensive and wish GE would not make you get a new trim each time they fiddle with size of new model by 1/4”.

Easy to install in the existing cabinet where the previous GE microwave and trim kit were installed. Larger gaps around the actual microwave and trim kit and this newer version is made out of plastic, unlike the metal of the original version.

The trim is too large, from an aesthetic perspective.

Easy to install, looks great in my island. Highly recommend.

Fits my cabinet and the GE microwave. Look and match are good.

I was extremely disappointed when I got this trim kit. When installed properly in our cabinet, it still has about a quarter inch gap from the face of trim kit to the cabinet face, so the whole microwave sticks out of the cabinet too. If you are looking at it straight on it looks ok I guess, but from the side it looks ridiculous and cheap! I was expecting something that would fit into the cabinet, not something that basically screws onto the face of the cabinet and sticks out 1/4 - 1/2". Also, our cabinetry is white so the black plastic is incredibly obvious and clearly visible on the sides. We were replacing GE's former spacesaver and this is the only model of microwave of any brand that will fit in our cabinet. If you have any choice, do not go with this trim kit. It's a very expensive way to make your home look cheap and unfinished!

Five stars for this trim kit since it fits nicely and is easily installed. Smooth look and also easy to wipe clean.

It looks wonderful, it was easy to install. We could do it ourselves. It is not as sturdy as the previous trim kit, but as a decorative piece it does not need to be. The tray and the mounting mechanism are easy to install. These are an improvement over what we had,

The trim was to large for the open space. I had to return it.

If you are installing a GE Profile built-in microwave oven, then you are essentially forced to use this trim kit since it’s the only one GE makes for the built-in 1.1 Cubic Foot size. I was not happy that I had to buy a new trim kit on top of an already expensive microwave but in my case there was nothing else I could do. On a positive note, the trim kit does look better than the old one. It is more contemporary and matches the smooth stainless steel surface of the oven. The venting for the oven fan is uniquely hidden behind the trim because the trim when mounted actually stands off the surface of the cabinet opening. The trim is held in place with four corner screws inserted at an angle into the cabinet. The installation is pretty straightforward even if you’re not the handiest of handymen. Definitely a must-have if you get a GE Profile.

Home Depot didn't have it and I'm so glad I decided to look at Best Buy. Getting an open box saved me a bundle! These trim kits are so expensive and GE makes it impossible to reuse an old one. Very happy with my purchase. There were no signs of this being used other than the box being open...

My trim kit was missing the screws when it arrived. I am still trying to find the correct screws to assemble it. When contacting Best Buy they were not able to send me replacement screws. I am still looking for replacement screws. I am hopeful that it will be an easy assembly once I find screws that work.

Our built-in microwave stopped working and we lucked out and found a replacement that fit at Best Buy. The bottom bracket needed to be replaced for the new microwave and this was the right part. Nice and easy.

This trim kit is fine - it looks fine from the front, although I thought the gap around the microwave was a little bit larger than I would have wanted. From the sides, you see a black plastic edge which looks a little cheap.

It was open box it did have a dent. So I had to take it back
