The price is super fair for these two films which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. The films are some of my favorite zombie flicks. The quality of 28 Days Later is rough though. I hadn't watched these in years and was really wanting to for the spooky season. I don't remember it looking as bad as it does. Not sure if it's an issue with the BluRay or what but it was tough to sit through. Part of me wonders if the DVD versions are any cleaner and if there was some issue with the upscaling.

I got them to replace the originals I had on DVD.
The first 28 days later looks like VHS but that's because it was filmed on $500 camera so blu-ray is not going to do a miracle. Only on the last scene do you see the change. The second one does not suffer from lower image and it looks great. As for the movies themselves well they are not zombie type. Instead of eating you they want to beat the crap out of you. Rabies on a bigger scale. A nice change from the apocalyptic zombiefest we are used to.

Two of the best horror movies ever made. A frightening take on the too often cookie cutter zombie genre. Not loaded with special effects but the visuals are very "in your face" shocking. Only 4 stars because the blu-ray version could have been better transferred. It's better than the dvd version but they should have both sharpened it up more and added more content. All in all still good writing, camera work and acting. Worth a look if you're into horror flicks.

I'm going to take a technical approach to this review and leave the film to you to judge - the atmosphere can be nerve-wracking and sinister regardless of the colors in the environment, and importantly to me - the aspect ratio used in filming this should become the standard with filmmakers. The movie fits today's TVs perfectly with no black bars - I'm not trying to bash CinemaScope here, but shouldn't films fill the entire screen without cutting anything off?

28 Days Later is a good movie that does the Zombie theme a little differently then other newer Zombie movies. It was able to hold my attention and I loved all the little plot twists that kept you wondering what would happen next.
28 Weeks Later was a great sequel to the first movie. Usually follow up movies tend to loose a lot of the flare but I really liked how this was a new story from the same disaster scenario.
Loved Both Movies!

I heard good things about the two films in this collection. So when I was running out of The Walking Dead series to watch during my Sunday night zombie parties, I decided to try these movies. Technically, these are not zombies. Of course technically neither are the walkers in The Walking Dead. The films lived up to thier reputation, fun to watch, pretty scary and well paced. I recommend these to anyone who enjoys this type of film.

Both films are the best they've looked and will look right here in these blu-ray discs, and it's one package. 28 Days Later was shot in 480 Standard Definition so it doesn't look amazing (even though it won't look any better) but 28 Weeks Later certainly does, having been shot on film. Both are good films, with 28 Days Later being my favorite and probably most people's favorite of the two but very solid package and well worth picking up for the price.

I used to love all types of horror movies, but truthfully I just haven't gotten in to the newest movies. I watched these when they first came out and remember how good they were. Let me tell you, even now these truly stand up against anything out there. This time around I actually preferred the second movie. Both are an experience to watch. Harrowing, scary and brutal.
And both for $10.00 on BluRay, you can't beat that!

There is no reason to buy 28 days later on Blu-Ray. It just doesn't look good because it was filmed with such a low rate camera. Don't expect Blu-Ray to save that. The sound transfer is good.
28 Months Later looks and sounds just like you hope a Blu-Ray movie would. Both are fun movies, but sadly I don't think 28 Days later holds up that well. Plenty of plot issues that do not make sense.

28 Days Bad Transfer

Great Indy zombie flicks. As read from previous reviews, 28 Days has a bad transfer, if it's even called a transfer. Not sure if it's to blame on director Danny Boyce's vision, or lack of funds when making the movie, or lack of caring to make an HD transfer. 28 weeks actually looks good though. I think it's great that 28 Weeks stars Jeremy Renner, Rose Byrne, and has Idris Elba in it.
