Love the color x3 pretty much the reason why I bought it :) it also comes with a digital copy of super mario bros 2. Which I've been wanting to play. Great device to travel with and great for kids :)

Worth it if you don’t think you’d use the 3D features of the other models. Just watch out if you want to play games that require the “New 2/3DS” the new 2DS will run you about $150 while the new 3DS will be $200. Also check the box on the systems before buying, i picked up an AC Adaptor as I thought they all stopped coming with them, this one does so i ended up returning that. I have an older 3DS with eventually the right shoulder button got stuck and i failed to fix it myself, so i have an AC Adaptor somewhere just don’t know where at the moment. If you need that it will run you an extra $15, though i doubt it would’ve costed Nintendo much to just include it. Only thing I’d say about this 2DS is how it doesn’t fold for portability, but just put it in a different carrying case, i know they had a program where it could function as a pedometer and the streetpass feature, used to use that on the old one when going to events where i know people would have their systems, but it isn’t a big loss, isn’t worth me paying over $100 when this was $80. And you realize as an adult you play the game more at home if you aren’t riding as passenger often on long trips or daily commutes and driving yourself, and work breaks never seem long enough to get into that stuff, what’s when we use our phones or read the paper or something lol minus the time it takes to get your food on breaks.

I bought this for my almost 3 year old. It is great because it is easy to hold and it is difficult to brake. It came with super Mario brothers 2 so it is great to have an affordable console + a game. It is compatible with all DS and 3DS games so you have a huge library of games. So far we’re very happy. This console doesn’t play the games in 3D, so you only can play in 2D, but that is fine since 3D is not recommended for children under 7 years old. It is great to introduce them to gaming before going into a more expensive system.

We upgraded our son’s DS Lite to this 2DS. He loves it and we love the fact that he can play games formatted for the DS all the way up to the 3DS. It was a great price to match!

Perfect device for little hand. Also more durable construction without flip. Can’t wait to see his excitement! Love that it comes with a game! Price also can’t be beat!

The game quality on the Nintendo 3DS / 2DS consoles are just leaps and bounds above what is available on most tablets or phones. The console is very well built has a battery that lasts for hours of gameplay and can sit in standby mode for weeks it seems, where you can just pick it up and play it. Great for when on the road/traveling and you're tired of all the tap tap tap games of the phone and want something a little more enjoyable. With the 2DS you get all of the enjoyment of the 3DS without having to have the headache of looking at a 3D screen.

I love that Nintendo gives us an option for a more affordable handheld gaming system. The 2DS plays 3DS games, has great graphics and is very user friendly. In addition, parents can set up parental controls. Definitely recommend.

I was tempted to get the 3DS but after seeing it in the store the 3D wasn't great and didn't feel worth spending twice as much for a slightly larger screen. I love this 2DS. Screen size is good, reminds me of my old-school game boy.

I love the 2DS because of its durability. Purchased for a 7 year old and have no regrets. Plays all the games you can imagine, so it allows for a long console life. Highly recommend for a younger child over the XL versions.

My son absolutely loves this and it's perfect for his small hands. It's a great deal for a first handheld gaming system. Even me a daddy love it. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that they don't sell a protective case or gel cover for them in stores or online. Great deal at 79.99 compared to $150 for the ds Xl

I purchased this system for my 5 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. The Mario game that is built in is perfect for her level and she gets better everyday. Also I tend to play it from time to time and I love it. Very easy to setup and connect to internet, even purchasing games from the Nintendo store is a breeze. I would recommend this for any child and parent who loves Mario.

This is a great handheld. I can download all my favorite classic games and play them. It’s awesome easy to operate and works and plays great.

Love how much cheaper this was than the 3ds'. Great for my 3 year old. Volume slider has broken but seeing as how it was for a 3 year old I got the protection plan so should be able to exchange it. Will update if best buy doesn't replace it.
