Very nice collection and history of the evolution of 3D! If I had to choose between this collection or the second collection, I would recommend this one over the second. The second one is still a good collection. Just a heads up, the very early footage of the capital at the very beginning was shot from quite a way away so the 3D is not that noticeable and there are a few clips of just silhouettes that didn't really work that well. But the other 90% of the content is very good.

This isn't a disc you're going to sit down and watch all the time but ther history is amazing.

It's a history of 3D, with much historical 3D products restored for demo. Plenty of pop-out moments to behold! A great product with which to demonstrate 3D to the uninitiated.

As described, it contains a cornucopia of old and obscure 3D cartoons, technical demos, commercials, and other oddities.

This is a must for real 3D enthusiasts...it's old time footage brings back times when 3D was really used well...unlike the new post production 3D seen in many films now

If you are a 3D enthusiast and enjoy the old nostalgic beginning of how it all began than this is for you. The opening is great and the effects are truly old school 3d, they pop out of screen, right in your face. Then it goes blurry, not that the picture is blurry it just does not have the same quality of 3d and it is much to long. They even have a spot for an intermission. Great for history, long for watching and definitely does not make the grade in the second half. Rent it, do not buy it , then make your own decision. For me, it missed the mark in a lot of areas especially in the second boring blurry half.
