DJ Screw is well known for screw tapes, but unless you live in Houston or have a cassette player you won't be able to enjoy his music on the medium that made him famous. A great alternative, and one that is increasing in popularity, is vinyl. By my understanding this is his only vinyl release, but the album is a solid choice.
The packaging and audio are what you'd expect for a picture disc. The sleeve and jacket are one in the same and the plastic will ultimately hurt your record, so be sure to swap to rice paper or something similar. The quality of the graphic is really nice and the record was shipped with care.
As for the release, the audio quality is pretty good considering it is a picture disc. I think it helps that DJ Screw's albums all had some inherent noise, so any artifacts from this being a picture disc add some "patina" that don't detract from the listening experience.
I believe this was limited to a fixed number of pressings, so if you're a fan of DJ Screw and don't mind the picture disc I would recommend picking this up.
