This laptop (with this configuration) cost $1499 on sale. At that price you're getting a 1k 165hz display, 16:10 aspect ratio, good I/O ports, and an overall pleasant gaming and viewing experience. The few quirks it does have are the motherboard being inverted, so if you ever wish to use the extra M.2 slot and/or upgrade ram you will have to get your hands dirty and most likely void warranty. There are workarounds on this of course, such as using an external SSD connector, if the previous method isn't for you. Just arrived today, will edit review the more I use it but so far it has been a pleasure to use with the 8-core i7 and 3060.

Geek Squad Protection is a must-have! I never purchase anything without it; it's inexpensive and have used it on several occasions. It is definitely worth the extra few bucks in case something happens to any of your devices.

This type of plan would be so much better as an option that you pay for when purchasing your devices and that it kicks in upon your initial warranty expiration date. A Lenovo laptop that had a hinge failure occur just passed the plan coverage period would have been covered in that case, had the plan kicked one year from the expiration of the manufacturer's warranty. Now, I am working with my credit card company to see if their extended warranty can cover me in this case. Unlike many other people who had the same issue with these 2-in-1 Lenovo Yoga laptops, I gave my device occasional use since it was a secondary computer, treated it with lots of care, using a neoprene sleeve at home for storage or sturdier case when taking it outside the house, which is why it lasted me JUST PASSED all the protection time that I paid for up front.

I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for one thing. The limitations coming from the factory that prevent the hardware from working at 100% of its capacity. The screen does not shine at 500 units to protect the oleds, and the processor, which although it can reach 4.7Ghz, does not exceed 3.5Ghz so as not to overheat. in this image you can see the laptop working at its maximum rendering a 3D animation. I had purchased a laptop almost 3 years ago, when I really needed a new one. Over the summer, it stopped booting up, so I took it back in, and they replaced it with a gift card. I got a new one (that I liked slightly better) and had some left over, so I also got an ice maker, too.

I have not used it as of yet but think i am gonna be have to bring my computer in to get it unlocked. Can't figure out what I did. And can't seem to get it unlocked.

This was a lifesaver! My kids computer turned itself off, wouldn't turn on, and smelled like burning when we tried to charge it. We took it to them, they replaced the motherboard, we brought it home, before we even got it set back up, the whole thing happened again. We took it back. They sent it out again. It came back. It was apparently still broken. They traded it out for a not broken or preused computer. We are super happy! Plus the people there were just awesome! I am immunocompromised, as soon as they found out, they started using hand sanitizer, masks were pulled out, the works. I absolutely the adored how well taken care of we were!

These experts are so great, especially in the in-store people. They really know what their stuff and they never make me feel dumb or rushed when I bring my devices in for help.

I have a 4050 RTX laptop made by vitcus and I bought 2-year protection from Geek squad. I think it's worth it because it has saved me over 400 dollars which is 200 dollars for protection for 2 years. And if they can't fixed, they either give a refund or a new one and is always fast

Thankfully haven't had to use the protection plan with this purchase, however I have used a protection plan with previous purchases & it was a quick & easy process.

came in sooner than expected. it works great, i was able to sign into my account and connect to my wifi. the charger also works perfectly. there was a few minor scratches witch is expected because its refurbished! it’s great though

It was stated that within a year if anything happens my laptop could be replaced. I thought it was worth the price.

Geek Squad protection is the Best way to protect your electronic device. I've purchased Geek Squad many times and even used it with a complete replacement of the product - saved me re-purchasing a new product.

I was excited to find out that I could save money with this laptop with best buy. This laptop is for work and so far no problems. It started up right away, the speakers are great and there's no delay between apps. Definitely recommend purchasing refurbished from best buy!

First, lets start with some cons. So this machine has a few software issues. After reinstalling windows and OEM Drivers becuase of an nvme drive upgrade and ram upgrade, I noticed that armory crate wouldn't show options for auto refresh rate, panel saver, or overdrive. Armory crate would also fail to switch gpu power mode to anything besides standard. After troubleshooting all day, with driver reinstalls and gpu drivers, I came to the conclusion that it wasnt a driver issue, but it was an issue with armory crate. I really hope asus can fix these issues becuase there are so many forums on this issue, even from years past. The solution I reccomend for this is to just install a third party app known as G-helper. G-helper is a pretty intuitive alternative to Armory crate with all the same features, but with way less bugs and glitches, although it freezes up at times. The app gets updated frequently with new features and the only thing it really lacks is more in-depth animematrix controls, which I find kinda tacky to begin with. Next up, we get to thermals. With the Rtx 4080 equipped version that I have, it gets HOT, like really hot, even with power limits. On AC in performance mode with 90 watt limit gpu and 65 watt limit cpu, The gpu regularly hits 85 degrees celcius and the cpu regularly thermal throttles. I hear that undervolting can help get those temperatures down even further, although your experience in that may vary by unit. On idle though, on battery in the silent profile, I was regularly hitting 47-55 degrees celcius, with 0 rpm fans. Now lets move onto upgrades. This laptop is upgradeable with some caveats. As you may or may not have heard, this laptop has only 1 upgradeable ram slot, with up to 48 gb of ram total. This machine is very picky with what ram you can upgrade it with, so for the best compatibility, I would reccomend a 4800 mhz cl40 ddr4 sodimm, especially the model from micron, although any brand would work as long as it meets those specs. The m.2 slot is pcie 4.0 x4 compatible for a max sequential speed of 7,000 mb per second, if you could get a drive that fast. The internal drive this comes with is essentially an OEM version of the Samsung 980 pro, so it is a pretty good quality drive. Now lets move onto some of the positives of this product. The display is the best I have seen on a laptop, the keyboard has good travel, and the trackpad is large and slick to use. Its battery life is great with my unit typically reaching around 7-8 hours of battery life, which combined with its silent fans for casual use almost makes me forget that this is a gaming laptop. The only thing that reminds me that this is a gaming laptop is that the fans really kick in once I start playing even moderately demanding games. Now lets consider the value lf this product in its price segment. Considering some of its only 14 inch performance notebook competition is the razer blade 14 (which costs more with lower end specs 2700$ for a 4070), this machine strikes a pretty good value proposition, if you can justify the price tag of over 2000$ for a laptop. Even compared to its other SKUS, like the g14 4090 which performs 8% better on average in games while costing 800$ more, or the g14 4070 which performs 50% worse overall for 650$ less, the g14 strikes the a good balance of price to performance, as long as you dont care about the marginal performance uplift of the 4090 (with limited thermals and power delivery, gimped pretty hard) and the mini led display (which eats at battery life). Overall, this laptop is what I said in the title, a portable powerhouse.

Peace of mind is absolutely worth it. Easy to understand coverage, helpful support, and reassuring to have accidental protection in case anything happens. Glad I added this.
