Bought this to fit a particular GE microwave as recommended by GE's website. The dimensions didn't work and I had to remove wood from the cutout in our kitchen. Trying to sync with the bottom screw holes with the top proved next to impossible. If you afford it, pay for the installation. Looks good once completed but I blew a Saturday working on it.

Quality is nice for the price. Make sure the dimensions match with the microwave and cabinets. There are less than 1-inch straight gaps side of the frame. I don't know the purpose of it but the gaps there.

The trim piece looks very nice. The installers had to create a larger opening for it to fit which cost extra. Overall am happy about it.

Trim kit for microwave fit perfectly and looks amazing.

The trim kit bought for the built-in microwave is solid black and about a good 2.5 inches wide all around. It's a little overbearing for the microwave. It still looks good, but I think it would look better if it wasn't quite so wide and perhaps if the lines (it's a rectangle) were a little softer looking.

If you want a clean in cabinet install, this is a must. It's a total ripoff at 1/2 the price of the actual microwave for some sheet metal and plastic.

Easy to assemble except the tiny screws to mount front plate kept dropping sideways due to hole being bigger than the length of the screws. What a dumb design! No wonder GE is down in the dump.

I had to perform surgery on the back side of this thing to get the screw holes to line up and for it to fit flush with my cabinet facing. Way overpriced for what it is.

I was shopping for a built-in microwave. I found the one I like and within my price range. Got help from Best Buy staff to look for a compatible trim kit for GE - Profile 2.2 Cu. Ft. Microwave. The kit arrived in the mail in good condition. I was able to install without issues. Perfect fit. I can't ask for anything more.

This part was needed for my installation, i didn't like the fact that it costs about the same as the microwave its self. Finger prints are easily visible

good product, but I don't care for the looks as much as my old one (also GE, ca 2003). although looks are a matter of taste, it was also more complicated and difficult to install than one would be led to believe. and if the microwave ever needs to come out, will be more difficult to remove & handle as well.

Yes, it is nice looking and complements the built-in microwave, but, it is also not nearly as sturdy as its predecessor of 10 years ago. It is easily damaged during installation.

The measurements are not the same as the microwave that says in the specifications

We were not sure how we were going to like having a gray face microwave with the stainless still trim, but after it was installed we are satisfied. It looks great and fit perfectly into the current cutoff space without and modification needed.
