zack snyder really outdid himself with this film! this is what solidified his career. an army of 300 men agains waves and waves of millions of soldiers trying to take over their land. seriously if you havent this movie yet you're really missing out on something great. this movie is all visual effects, but don't worry! don't let that scare you away! i know most movies that over use cgi they tend to be terrible at some point, but not this one, it manages to stay looking good through and through. this movie is old and manages to stay entertain as heck! the cast is amazing, now that you seen some movie stars get more famous you go back to watching this and you can pin point them out and, well that makes it even more fun to watch. the 4k upgrade looks clearer and cleaner, definitely a must pick up

From a visual standpoint, this 4K remaster of 300 provide minor improvements in resolution but it's in the HDR grading that makes elements such as the spartan's red capes "pop" on the screen. It's really in the audio department that this new 4K remaster shines ! The new Dolby Atmos track brings active sound elements in all scenes providing great bass and clear dialogue during action scenes as well as providing unique spacial elements ( example: When the arrows that " blanket the skies in darkness " fly toward the Spartans, it sounds like it's coming at you from above if you have upfiring or ceiling speakers ). A great 4K upgrade for any 300 fan ! Buy with confidence

It's been awhile since I watched this on physical media; the last time I saw this, it was on a 50" 1st gen 1080p screen. Fast forward to several years later, I'm viewing this on a 65" 4K oled; didn't remember it being quite so grainy on previous viewings. Maybe it might've benefitted from a new 4k scan with new VFX rendering as opposed to a simple upconversion (maybe). It's not a total wash: the orange/brownish tones are definitely bolder/brighter than I remembered. And the blacks are so potent, they're on the verge of being obsidian dark (particularly the scene where Xerses releases the Titans on the Spartans). But the real star of the show seems to be the newly-minted Atmos soundtrack. So much low-end, you're almost certain to get complaints/dirty looks from neighbors if you live in apts./condos. The scene where Xerses' army 1st showers Spartans with so many arrows that they "blot out the sun" creates a truly hemispherical soundfield to the point where you'll be ducking for cover, lol. It's not perfect; but, if you're looking for something to feed the "4K kitty", this is a decent upgrade over the previous Blu-ray,

300 is one of my favorite action movies not only for its action sequences but also for its faithful art direction which makes the live-action movie looks like the original graphic novel by taking on its art style with lots of dark shades and gritty lines. Having seen this movie in a movie theater and then on Blu-Ray disc without HDR, I am very impressed by how much better the movie looks now on 4K UHD with HDR. If you're a fan of 300, know that there's no better way to watch this movie than on a 4K UHD player with an OLED TV with HDR. It'll blow your mind!

Good popcorn flick but that’s about it. I merely got this to complete my Zack Snyder collection but still not my favorite action movie. It’s worth the watch for the spectacle alone but there are some better past time movies out there.

I waited sooooo long for this to come out in 4k. Best Buy had it on sale in Nov for a killer price so I had to get it. The upgrade from Blu-ray was a moral imperative for me. 300 in 4k will blow you away. Wonderful film and in this format, Sparta is in your living room. King Leonidas would appreciate it. Not only the film, but the fact that I've chosen my words wisely. THIS IS SPARTA! Man, I gotta go work out now because just thinking about this film motivates me. That's one of the things I love about it!
