This movie is so refreshing compared to other sequels. The story is great, the action is great, the acting is great, the visuals are great. While it's not quite on the same level as the first movie, it is really good and kind of stands on its own. I can't go into details without spoiling both movies, so I won't. But if you enjoyed the first, this will be a pleasure as well.

Just as beautiful as the original, but the plot suffers from jumping around too much; it seems as if there are too many ideas floating around, and they are all being crammed into a short film. If you liked the original, you should give this one a shot.

This movie took a little bit to get into the story as to how it fit in with the first one. Once you realize what it taking place and why they are fighting then the movie a breeze to watch. Moves quickly and never a dull moment in the action till the end.

Story line fit nicely with first film the 300, background art work and use of digit input stimulating to the eye. Color choices not overly bright but seemed fitting fit the period time. All together it made the film feel believable even though fantasy.

While visually stunning and featuring some truly fantastic battle sequences, the story itself feels a bit hollow, even with the addition of Eva Greene (Penny Dreadful) to the mix. Still, if you enjoyed the original 300, this sequel is worth a watch.

I didn't have high expectations for this movie because the first one was so good that I knew it would be hard to top the original 300. But it's a pretty good story with more of the same fighting scenes from the original. Good movie overall. Get it!

This movie takes place in a similar timeline to the original. This outing focuses on the Athens Navy. If you enjoyed the first one, you should enjoy this one as it provides some additional backstory and of course some great fighting sequences!

If you are looking for a movie to sit and relax with, this is probably not the one for you. BUT, if you like a lot of fight scenes with history thrown in, you have the right movie. I enjoyed the commentary for sure, when all of the producers talked about making the movie and the history which they tried to replicate. Good story line overall, with Greece rallying together over the Persians!

This was a good movie with lots of blood and guts. What one would expect in a movie that tried to reflect warfare during this time in history. The end of the movie could have been concluded in a better way i.e . the Spartans joining the Sea battle.

Overall a great movie, I am a Frank Miller fan, and 300 fan. Cinematography and fight sequences are great. however, acting is ok not great or bad. Also the plot at times is questionable such as why would Sparta need to be convinced to go to war....?

To see "Faeiramir" from Lord of Rings again was excellent. The CGI was excellent. Fearless disregard of physics in most all action sequences - ships on the water, great blood splattering, good storyboarding to picture helped keep the plot in line.

300: Rise of an Empire is a bit underrated in my eyes. I thoroughly enjoyed it and while it didn't have the same level of awe that the first 300 brought, it was still a very entertaining film. Eva Green is the number one reason to watch this film.

When this movie came out I wanted to see it. I would recommend it if you liked the first 300, but (as with most sequels), people will compare the them. Personally I liked 300 better than 300 Rise Of An Empire. Overall I'd rate part 2 a 7.5 to an 8

The first movie was something to behold, different in nearly every way. The sequal I believe surpasses the first by leaps and bounds particularly in huge scenes that seem to be deep beyond imagination encompassing a huge background. It is amazing how much they included in each frame without distortion. It was pretty amazing. If you are a bit squeemish about blood and guts; find another movie.

The film kept my attention from start to finish. It also tied into the first one which was helpful if you didn't watch the first one, or you forgot what happened. It also explained a lot of what happened in the first one without making it boring.

I am a huge fan of 300 and own the comic books the movie is based off of. This movie tried to capture the essence of the original and tries too hard sometimes but it does have a little originality with the battle at sea. Eva Green is amazing!

I really enjoyed watching it. I didn't think its as good as the first 300 movie, but I think it is still worth buying. The action scenes are great specially when you are watching the movie in 3d. I think the 3d effect looks great in this movie

Really good follow up movie to 300. Excellent effects. Although I thought it would have followed the last Spartan that survived from the first movie, the way it told a follow up story from another characters pov made it even more interesting.

Though Zach Snyder did not return to direct, it felt like his fingerprints were all over the new installment. The new director made it his own which sets it apart from the first one. Awesome cinematography and the story is a good addition.

300: RoaE isn't as engaging as 300, but it's still a worthy entry into the 300 saga. Eva Green lights up any movie she's in. The BD is A/V demo material with lossless audio booming and 1080p video sharp and clear. Extras are worthwhile.
