Great transfer! Still remains some grain, but it has been cleaned up. This is the best it has ever looked.

Love to see classic movies on steel book! (Lol yeah I called 300 a classic, come at me bro!) Only thing I would complain about is that it did not include a digital copy but otherwise I am very satisfied with the item I purchased as well as the price.

I searched many stores before going to BestBuy.Iooked around the store for dvds until I found the movie 300. So I decided to purchase the movie..

It's so funny how in the movie they portray Xerxes to be Vain, Naive, and arrogant enough to claim himself as a "God-King" a "King of King's" and "perfect beyond measure", and then you read the reviews from fellow Iranians, and Persians who are so triggered by the portrayal of their God-King Xerxes in this movie, that they even go as far to write statements in their review such as: "Persians are perfect we are not like this" "How can they make false information about persians" "We are the best people in the world" It's safe to say that this persian "god-like" thinking is in their genes/DNA. Zack Snyder most definitely realized this insecure-complex-easily-antagonized-fragile-ego-like-mentality and capitalized on it to acquire controversy over his film sparking debate, and free-marketing. I believe the idea of this film was to portray how godly yet humane Spartans were, and the idea of allowing a "Xenos" (greek word for stranger) to conquer and rule above them, even a thought like this is considered disrespect, and punishable by death in the world of Sparta. I don't believe the film was intended to be historically accurate by any means, but was meant to show Spartan gene, and spartan blood. Show no fear, fight till death, and against all-odds glorious in death. This mentality is in the blood of modern day spartans, if you ever get the chance to meet someone who has spartan blood in them you will know. You will understand what it means to be a Spartan, if you ever stand by one. Honour, Strength, and Pride runs fierce in Spartan genes. Again, Spartans are no less, and no more than any other human - sure as hell they may have not been the brightest, but their ferociousness when defending their honour, family, pride, and what they believe in, is yet to be tested by ANY other human. Ask a Spartan to defend his country against defying odds, and impossible scenarios- and the legend of thermopylae exists. Ask a Spartan to tutor you in math- you will fail your exam. that's my point. the movie is to portray one thing, who Spartans were, and what they did against the impossible.

This movie is amazing ! I love it! If you love action or historical movies then this is your film right here! The steel case artwork is amazing too! Great film. A must see and have to any collector.

This movie was excellent. Everything about it was done perfectly. Of course it's as over the top as possible, that is the point. Highly recommend this.

300 was a fantastic movie, that provides a great watch again and again. While old, the movie has not lost its luster, or the aspects which make it truly memorable and enjoyable. The movie follows the story of historical figure King Leonidas and his Greek Spartans, who take on the whole of the Persian army. It provided a moving, exciting, and dramatic depiction of famous historical characters and events, and would be a fantastic fit for those who are just looking for a good action movie. The style of film is incredibly unique as well. The movie itself is very bronze in its color palette, with a harsh red contrast presented by the vibrant crimsons of blood and Spartan uniform. Despite its deliberate grainy quality, the visuals help to present a feeling of rustic originality and historical accuracy, rather than take away from the moment. The fight scenes were beautifully choreographed, with an interesting array of combat scenarios and techniques. Anyone who is a fan of action movies is sure to love this one. A must watch, at least once.

Finally 300 the way this movie was ment to have been seen crystal clear

The 4K version of 300 is a delight to behold. This is a very stylized film and should not be mistaken for a native 4K standard movie. That said, I thought this film shows an increase in detail and texture. The CGI works well and I found no issues with effects looking fake or soft. Sound quality is top notch. Steelbook packaging is really nice for a graphics standpoint, and work shelling out a few bucks for. Only negative note was I noticed the disc I had played loud in my 4K player. However since this is not a movie you've want to play at low levels, it wasn't a problem. Will have to play movie again to see if it persists. Would highly recommend.

The first time I saw this film I was enthralled.. 300 came out in 2007 and was a graphic novel adapted film from a comic series based on Leonidas I and the 300 Spartans. They took on a monster Persian army that was ruthless and unforgiving during the second Persian War.. The plot is fantastic and you find yourself just in awe of the special effects. The characters are out of this world and I haven't seen any film since the Mad Max franchise have such strange characters in it be so violent. The film follows one man who grows up and has to lead an army of the best 300 warriors against an invading force of Persians trying to dominate the world. The battles are fierce and many are tricked, deceived, and outnumbered but fend off until the brutal end. It's just a fun watch and the film will be great to look back on for it's accomplishments. It was different for many reasons but the one that stands out is the narrator, and how he narrates the film in such a demeanor that just leaves you speechless..

Action-packed excitement, drama, thrills, and more importantly, the historical scenes that depict the timeline of when they battle took place.

Gritty gladiator type movie. Lots of violence. The art style takes some getting used to. Not a bad movie.

I think that if you are on this page thinking on purchasing this movie, then you know about it and there's not much to say about the movie itself other than a must watch! But you are also here to find out about this particular edition of the blue ray dvd. The metallic case (or steelbook as they call it) is definitely very appealing, and is a great protector of the amazing movie that is 300. The usual back paper cover that contains a small plot summary and the barcode is not embedded into the metallic case, it is just attached to the back of the case. Since the paper cover is bigger than the case, it doesn't fit inside. However, I cut around the paper and was able to fit it inside. I wanted to keep it with the bd-dvd, but you can opt to throw it away. The bd-dvd contains additional scenes and great in depth information about the spartans and the movie. I highly recommend it for any 300 fans!
